I didn't enquire since I was specifically after the grey from the start, but you're probably in a pretty unique position to have the choice of those two colors- very cool problem to have! You can't go wrong either way, but there are several blue dialed watches from other manufacturers that do more for me than the blue 15500 does- however, the same cannot be said for any other grey dialed watch on the market, hence my journey to this beauty. I could not be happier

I tried on both blue and grey dial at AP House in Hong Kong few months ago. I still marginally prefer the blue dial but the OP's pic of the grey dial looks fantastic.

Thanks a lot man! The grey dial is spectacular for sure, as is the blue (and the black for that matter- I just cant imagine having yet ANOTHER black dialed watch in the collection!). Value retention is an understatement with really any of the dial colors, but its hard to ignore the fact that blue is selling pre-owned for 70% over retail or whatever crazy number it is nowadays!

Thank you for this thread! I’m trying to decide between the black and grey dials. This has helped immensely. How long was the wait for the grey? We don’t have any AP stores here in Dallas, so I’ll have to pick one up one up during my next trip.

If there’s one thing that’s true about wait lists, it’s that it’s entirely dependent on whether it’s an AD or boutique, whether you have a history with them, whether your contact there has any real influence over allocations, how many other customers with history have already been promised the watch, and whether your contact actually wants to help you at the end of the day... ok, that’s more than one thing.

I waited around a month to confirm an allocation would be given to me, then I paid in full, and then I had the watch another month later. From reading here, many are not as fortunate. Just depends.
