Well I have been rebuilding since last Nov when I bought back my sorely missed SD4000 which was followed in Jan by ExpII polar, then a RG YM in Jan and a Sub LV in Jan and various others including a couple of Tudors and an Omega.

Fast forward September and I get a call my 126710 BLRO is ready for collection. I don't think I have ever been so excited to collect a watch. Absolutely love it.

Hopefully I won't have to wait too long for my BF SD and WF Daytona although I'm expecting 12-24 months.
Lovely watch, sorry that you had to sell off a collection to fund your move, delighted that you are getting the collection back on track, congratulations on the new arrival.

Would rather not say but it was local to me. This time last year I was quite depressed at having missed the boat with my Rolex collection as I'd sold everything but my BLNR in 2016 and they have since skyrocketed. Luckily I found a great SD4000 in November last year, then picked up a Exp II at Heathrow in Jan. Then things started to get interesting as I managed to bag a 116655 and a Sub LV in one go from a local AD. Buying my wife a 31 ss dia/dia/mop put me on the VIP list due to my spend with the group hence my call for the BLRO. I am also promised a SkyD and Daytona but in time.

I don't think so, no. I sold 10 watches to fund the move and went down to the oyster BLNR for 2 years. That is a perfect only watch. The BLRO is a little too flashy and smart for every day.

Ha if only, the house was above our budget and the refurbishments were more than double the budget, something had to give...

Don't know whether it's just the lighting on the photo, but looks way better than the washed out blue and red on most (earlier) examples.
The red is almost burgundy and the blue is a dark purple. Very smart indeed. Not a fan of the earlier milky colouring.

Thanks, I have gone a bit crazy in 2019, its my 5th Rolex and 8th watch overall this year. Note to self, calm down!

I also believe the day I collected the BLRO was one of the most exciting days of buying watches! Very lovely piece!

Congrats!

I know the feeling, I was practically bankrupt (serious cashflow problem) a few years ago, I sold all of my collection, if it was not for the collection my family would have gone homeless, I am happy to say I am back and re-building very nicely, all the old contacts I made (ADs) are working with me in the re-build.
