Congrats. I like the fact that Tudor makes a leather and fabric strap that work well with Smarty Endlinks for great looks. At less than half the MSRP of the Rolex GMT's I feel it's well worth the price.

Can‘t go wrong with that one....In many ways I like the Tudor GMT better than the Rolex GMT. One of the best things about it is no crowns guards. Enjoy!

Congratulations! I've had mine now for a little over a month and feel fortunate to have received it after about a 5 week wait.

While visiting Paris during early August, one was sitting in the Tudor booth of Galeries Lafayette department store for the entire duration of our visit (over a week.)

I'm a new member here and have read many threads about building a relationship with an AD.
When I first became interested in this watch, I called the nearest AD and asked about availability. The first thing they asked me was if I had ever purchased anything from them. I said no and they took my name down, but needless to say, I didn't feel confident they would be getting back to me. Almost 3 months since, I have not heard a peep from them. A few days later, I visited another AD in person a little further away. I went in and met the first available salesperson who also happened to be the store manager. I stated my interest in the BB GMT. He noticed I was wearing an Omega SMP and told me that he owns a similar piece. I asked about getting my wife's wedding ring resized and some other small talk. Eventually, I put down a deposit. We exchanged a few emails during the wait time. I expected to wait at least 3 months, but got the call in 5 weeks that the GMT came in. My guess is that he fast-tracked this watch for me hoping to capture future (and more expensive) business with him, which I am fine with. Next on my wish list are the 214270 Explorer and the Batman GMT, so perhaps this relationship will come in handy. |
