And this is funny for what particular reason?

This reminds me a joke that was circulating in high school. The joke teller goes into a long, detailed explanation that ends in a nonsense punchline. The person recruits an audience of kids he doesn't know well, and then waits to see who laughs first because said audience member is too insecure to admit he/she doesn't get the joke.

This joke should have been written in Sanskrit......at least then we would have laughed at the "lost in translation" bit!!
