5270P wasn’t as good on the wrist as expected. I’d go Lange datograph perpetual over the 5270p. Or even the 3970.

I count myself as extremely fortunate to own two of my three personal grails. Last would be a 1675 fuchsia that I do not own.

Simple if we’re talking grail.

Well, it’s simple, except it changes every week!

But right now...

My "grail" would be ALS Datograph
For me there are too many to narrow to just one. Love your Datograph pick though.

Patek 5170g
AP RO Open-worked
Lange Datograph Up/Down

and slightly behind those would be the Platona. Honestly I'd be thrilled owning any and all.

Now for completely out of touch grails I'll never own:
Rolex Day Date TEM
Richard Millie (pretty much any reference)
Any Patek or Lange double split chronograph
Patek Grand Complications 5327

Love that combo, congrats! Can't go wrong with a Platinum DD and WG Daytona, especially with that blueberry dial

Very similar, except Patek 5167A, AP15500. I’m trying to be a bit more realistic in terms of what I would be willing to pay

Realistic wish: Rolex to release a TT YG Deepsea Special!

Uhm I think 3 is not enough; I got carried away.

IMHO a grail watch should have more than $$$ being the main barrier of acquisition...

Most modern watches only require money and some connections and you can have them in a day or two.

Something like a SS Day-Date...If I wanted one tomorrow I'm not sure I would be able to get one...no matter how much $$$$$ i threw at it.
