My AD said they have been told that their allocation will be extremely limited but no numbers. Then again I was told, when ordering, that my BMW M2 would very limited and a right load of cr@p that turned out to be. |

I really like it. As an Explorer II fan I'm a big fan of a steel bezel.

But strangely comfortable I am finding, it really doesn't feel too much different to my 58 and disappears on the wrist, until I snatch a glance of course and see enough sheet metal to clad a small building lol!
The strap is a very nice feel as well, I could never get on with the hard feeling BB41 leathers but this rubberised version is superb. |

Guys this 200 figure is purported to be the number on the waiting list at Harrods according to an earlier post, not the production run figures!

I have not got one yet. I’m struggling a bit with the fit when I tried it on. The deployant gets into the bottom of my wrist a bit, which is uncomfortable. What size is your wrist? |

7.5in wrist, fits me just fine. One of the most comfortable watches I've worn to date.

I have ordered a Tropic from UK store Watchgecko to try which may or may not work with the stock deployant but comes on a buckle anyway. |

Goldsmiths’s told me they did not order enough for each shop, they were asked a while ago how many they wanted, I’m not sure if that is standard for all models.

I am curious as to how that works out. I love the watch otherwise. Just need to to see if I can get it to fit better. |

Saw one today in the case at my AD. Liked it a lot better in person, just too big for my wrist. It is a unique piece, but doesn't scream steampunk as much as the marketing pictures did.

Importantly the Watchgecko 20mm is relatively short for a Tropic which is essential for this watch as the lugs are so long and there is a fixed link each side as well. |

Not a watch for me! Don’t care how sought after it might become!

I did read there was an issue getting the locking mechanism working correctly but not heard anything else regarding a manufacturing issue or cost of production but with how delayed the release was there must have been some sort of problem I guess time will tell. I don’t think it was ever going to be intended as a watch for long term production but rather an aside to the standard range. But who knows Quote:
I hope you get one soon bud

Thanks if one turns up it would be good if not I'm pretty sure Grand Sekio will be more than happy to take my money and sell me a nice Spring drive.

I am meeting a WIS friend at the Trafford Centre tomorrow evening and we will be popping in to my Tudor AD for a drink and a chat as usual. I will see if I can throw any light on what is happening with supply. |

It would be good to hear from the horses mouth the UK situation seeing as how models there seem generally hard to come by
