I think a two tone Daytona with a black ceramic bezel would be great.

TT Sky Dweller looks better than the SS imo... better value for sure. Plus, TT stands out from the crowd.
Will TT overtake SS in popularity? Not a chance, because SS is cheaper and less people can afford TT. Another reason why I like it. |

Yes, although I'd say the resurgence started a few years ago, lots of brands have been putting out tt models. I'm a fan!

Having tried on the tt gmt I can say it is really an amazing watch. But I don’t think I can pull the trigger, I just like the BLRO better.

I don’t know if there will be a full blown resurgence or takeover, but I for one believe it never truly went out of style. One thing that’s for sure is that very few if any Rolex watches come close to the level of public icon status as a TT DJ. This and a YG Day-Date are realistically the only two watches that anyone off the street outside of TRF would probably identify as Rolex. TT bluesy maybe next, more so than a SS sub. TT and Rolex go hand in hand.

My last two Rolex purchases have been TT. A CHNR and a TT DJ2.
I’d like a rose Gold TT DJ at some point. |

I think they'll pick up slightly more mostly due to the continued SS shortage not because their the first choice. Most average people shopping still believe they can walk into a Rolex store and leave with a Submariner or a SS Datejust.

Let go of my last two SS/18K YG a few months and do not miss them as I've come to realize I prefer SS and PM

I've never owned one but I liked the CHNR and recently tried on the SD43 and really liked the bezel, on my list for sure as Subs are not for me as I have a couple.

Well I’ve got a couple of tt’s and frankly don’t know why they would need any resurgence :)
Gorgeous watches, who cares what’s in fashion right now

TT I dont think has ever gone away. I'm only early 30s and THE watch that got me into Rolex in the first instance was a Bluesy.
That was my ultimate watch for a long long time throughout my early/mid 20s. Its just that over the last few years the hype on SS was crazy - its all dying down now anyway so we'll see the market even up again and more TTs around. |

I have loved the TT from the first time I saw one when I was in my ealy 20’s and could care less what some other clown tnought was “in style” or not. TT Rolex’s have never gone out of style IMHO but do agree, they seem to be more popular than ever.

Excluding the crazy appreciation from MSRP of a SS Daytona, compared to other SS models, a TT not only holds their value but appreciates as well over time.

As someone who has owned a 116613, a 116681 and scored a 126713 for a friend, I've come to admire many two-tone pieces and obviously have to like them. When it comes to pulling the trigger and long-term ownership, my ambivalence shall likely remain. As for their return to mainstream acceptance and appreciation commencing in 2020, I'd agree with you and say it's maybe even a little overdue. Cheers.

I'm OK with TT or SS depending on the model.
I'm (probably) getting a SS Sky Dweller tomorrow. I have a TT version on order from my AD because they can't offer me a SS version. I really don't mind the TT but for the Sky Dweller, SS is my optimum. With the price rise about to bite and my AD not having a clue when my TT Sky Dweller will turn up (it's been a year so far), I will kill it tomorrow if the SS watch comes through. After that I'll be after a TT CHNR. I have a Blusey. The CHNR will go superbly along side it. My AD thinks mine will turn up round about 2022. |

I'm in the market for a sub in 2020, and want some colour as I have the all black GMT -Love the bluesy and looking at market value it seems a steal compared it it's steel counterpart (obviously if I can get the LV at retail I will but I'm a realist!).

I have owned a lot of the TT watches and just prefer the SS/Titanium or PM.

If I were going to get a new piece in 2020 - which I am not for I believe my wife would have a conniption - I do believe it would be a CHNR or TT Daytona

Well I'd argue we knew TT was trendy once AP decided to do their own version of the RO. I'm not sure i'd call them the best of both worlds though, since imo that is owning both a SS and PM watch. That said CHNR is nice as is the TT Bluesy imo. Technically Rolesium watches are TT as well and I do like those.
