I tried wearing an Apple Watch for a week. At the end of the week I felt like I was going insane. I receive 300-400 emails a day and felt constantly on alert. AW ended up in a desk drawer and it hasn’t seen the light of day since. (Anyone want to trade a watch for an AW-3? Send me a PM.)

As a C-suite executive, I lose my shit when I see someone in a meeting with me looking at their phone or their AW.

It basically comes down to how connected someone believes they need to be. There have been numerous studies conducted that prove that people’s productivity and creative thinking ability decreases the more physically connected they are to their smartphone or intelligent watch.

I got one for Christmas and love the dang thing for working out. While out on an xc ski tour, its all I need for fitness monitoring and still be in touch in case the kids need me. I can resist looking at emails, so that is not a problem for me.

The work outdoors app is awesome.

You’re not. I do the same. I also have friend who does it as well.
