Me too for some reason, maybe it's just looking at the same watch everyday.
I've been wearing a Girard-Peregaux from 1958 on an alligator strap with deployant buckle and enjoying ever minute it's on my wrist. I'm sure my interest in Rolex will return. |

i'm lucky enough to have a few watches in rotation so i wouldn't get bored with the same watch everyday. having said that, my 14060m is the one that spends the most time on my wrist.

Yeah, I've been feeling that way a bit lately, but mostly 'cause I can't afford all of the watches I want
And I'm less enchanted, not with my Rolex, but with some others in my collection and having so many anyway. You can't wear them all -- 2 or 3 quality watches are (probably ) enough. I've bought a couple along the way 'cause I could afford them but am not that interested in them now. I kind of want to unload a couple like my Tag to get a Speedmaster Moon Watch. There is a great vintage one for sale a dealer nearby.... |

I've gotten to the point where I have all the watches I want. Not that interested in any more watches. Kind of kills the buzz of TRF a bit, but........I'll get it back.

I go through similar phases when I suspend wearing my Rolexes and instead spend weeks wearing other brands, including cheaper names like Seiko, Zeno and Fortis. But such phases don't last too long and I eventually come to my senses!

There is always something new, and Basel is only a few days away...........
Part of the fun is not just about enjoying what you have but also enjoying what others have and sharing experiences.

I've been wearing the same GMTII every day since I bought it new in 2000. I used to frequent this and some other forums back then but my interest level dropped to where I still enjoyed my watch but had lost the obsession.
I've recently come back with an interest in the vintage models that has me obsessing all over again. I bought a DateJust (16013) on eBay a couple months ago and now I'm drooling over vintage Day-Dates. |

I believe that I'm still cured... I know what you mean.
I haven't thought of buying new watches lately. I'm very satisfied with my collection which includes one Rolex, the 16600.

If your interests have changed that's okay. Watches are not the be all/end all !!!
There are plenty of other activities or hobbies you can cultivate your interest in. Life is to short so find something to ignite your passions and above all else find happiness!!!

I am on the same feeling also, I wear my SS daytona black dial everyday, my Gmt iic is the the winder most of the time, now it seems my daytona is just another watch. Is seems that is not special anymore. I probably need to hide the watch a while and miss them again.

I understand. I lost my interest on their current line up.
If I happen to buy my next, it would be vintage for sure. |

I know how you feel.
Last year I sold both my Rolex watches and bought just one watch Patek. Its just so much easier only having the one watch. I now don't have any decision to make on which one to wear.

I really only wear 2 watches from my collection. My Speedy Pro and my SMP. I wear them for a week at a time so I have something different from week to week. Once my Sub comes in and the rotation gets spaced out another week I think I wil be content with what I have for a while. Right now I only have one more watch on my list, most likely the ExplorerII. As much as I like them I really dont see myself having to own more than 4 luxury watches. I would definitely get bored with only one watch on my wrist all the time but I also dont want a safe full of expensive watches that I never wear. I think that me wearing all of my more expensive watches keeps me from asking myself if I really need them all. I really do enjoy wearing all of them.

Not sure I followed the original post. Are you saying that wearing the SS Sub date makes you wonder why the others since it is the so perfect wear-with-anything wear-anywhere watch? Or are you bored with ALL of your Rollies? Bored with watches in general?
Just ask'n - My SS Sub Date kindof makes everything else in my modest collection seem redundant. - GregB |

Not me. I've been in an extreme watch frenzy the last 10 months. I keep saying this is the last one, then almost immediately, another one starts singing to me!
Maybe I should stay away from the forums but they're too addicting!

My interest in Rolex's seem to come and go over the years. One thing I have found out though is I cannot live without one it seems. I have owned Subs mostly over the years and sold several. Now I'm wearing the new GMT II C which is the most sticking to me so far.
I have found just like my Harley's, I simply cannot go long without one. Either cold or hot about them I have to wear only a Rolex. I guess once you ride, wear and use the best its hard to go back. I have found this forum keeps my Rolee interest alive more. |

Like others on the forum, I go though phases, but I always end up wearing one of my Rolexes on my wrist each day.

I alternate between my 16750 GMT and my Speedy Pro. I occasionally think I could use a sub on my collection, but the feeling doesn't (usually) last that long.
Two good watches is about all I need....maybe a third.

Losing interest in Rolex watches? In a word...NO!!!
I rotate through these beauties, always keeping my interest high. But then, that's just me!

Phases are normal. Not looking to sell, but couldn't care less about another one at this point. So feeling the same. Maybe after Basel...
