16570 V-Series no lug chamfers

Interesting... I didnt know this and does that just go for the 16570 ?
Its really hard to tell when a case has been overpolished in photos as from some angles the chamfers dont even show up leading people to the conclusion that they are gone when in reality they're just not showing.

FWIW, I only mentioned that it was polished, which it was. I'm not going down the rabbit hole of "over" or not. That's up to the buyer. It's a nice watch.

This is incorrect, IMHO. Check out photos of a stickered NOS no-holes 16570. No real chamfers to speak of, which is typical of no-holes five digit ‘T’ cases.

I think the case is good. I have a random 5 digit white expII, exactly like your picture, and mine doesnt show any chamfers on the lugs. Bought mine brand new from AD ages ago.

If you like the watch, go for it. Love the 5 digit case, esp white exp II. It will be one of the classic one. Good luck

Thank you!!! I was really surprised, confused concerned when the watch arrived and there were no chamfers. It is important for me to take the right decision - I am trading my black dial for this one (+ small amount of money) and decided to ask. I thought there was a simple answer like no, all have chamfers, the lugs of this one were not polished well or after certain year there were no chamfers. I have 114060 which I bought brand new. I compared both watches and decided that as the Polar was one of the latest, has already some of the characteristics of the 6 digits, it also has lugs like the 6 digit ones.

I was reading the posts ( thank you for the positive posts and advice) and also checking some ads of NOS. I found this one and it looks like there are no chamfers. On some of the picture it looks like there are but I think those are the stickers. I was ready to return the watch but now started to think of keeping it.

I think it's fine. I have a 16570 no holes case and there are no chamfers. I bought it used from the original owner, but it was only a year old at the time and was still under warranty. I know he never had it polished. I think your's looks good.

This model doesn’t have the deep chamfered lugs from the factory, They should only be mild.

Photos? I've seen them in person. They've all had chamfers. That's said from experience. They're mild but they're there.

OP, your watch looks fine. My opportunity to have it -- I would keep it.

And I am very picky about issues such as chamfers and polishing.

Looked at pictures of my old V serial Exp2. Mine had never been polished and was owned by me from new. Looked the same as yours - no discernable chamfer I can see. If that is your only concern, you have a good watch and should just wear it.
