SD43 for 30th
Been actively trying to score my first Rolex for about three years now to no avail. Frankly, I gave up on the brand altogether due to sheer frustration after countless failed attempts to procure one these past few years. I had actually developed a bitter taste in my mouth due to all the shenanigans. I quickly learned what was necessary to get the hot ss models... spend $50k+ to earn the "privilege" to buy one. Not a fan of these policies or the artificial scarcity. But one day out of the blue one of the AD's I had my name down with hit me up to say that my Dweller was in. I don't know if it was an active effort on their end or if it just happened to work out this way, but it arrived just in time for my 30th, which I'd mentioned would be a lovely occasion to gift myself a Rolex. Anyways, so I finally got one and it's fantastic- bitter feelings slightly dissipating. Being a bigger guy, the fit is absolutely perfect. I really wanted the Root Beer and will likely still get one, however the SD undoubtedly is the better fitting watch for my massive wrist. You really do see and feel the quality in a Rolex, imo. Hoping to add at least a couple more before branching off to some other brands like Patek, FP Journe, etc. I am on the list for a Hulk and CHNR, though I'm not stoked about the price increases (especially on the CHNR). One day a Platona would be lovely too!
Below are a couple photos I just snapped of my awesome new SD43! |
