Was the black dial 116505 at Tourneau? If so, they definitely weren’t offering a discount, as I inquired about the same watch.

I guess depends on which market as well. In US East Coast and Caribbean Islands I frequently see Full Gold and Platinum Daytonas. In Southeast Asia they won’t last more than 2 hours in the display case.

I have only seen two PM Daytonas over the past year at three different ADs: a RG on OF w/ MOP diamond dial about a year ago and the platinum version a few weeks ago. Much harder to find today as opposed to a couple years ago when you could get a healthy discount.

Unfortunately I agree with you. They’ve never seen one and may not for the foreseeable future. I also worry about it arriving and perhaps I’m paying 2021 prices?! At some point my totally wonderful wife might get tired of the price increases while I’m simply waiting for delivery? She was willing to let me get it in 2019, this could get ugly soon

Well, definitely no discount at ADs at all, lucky if you can get it. Whereas in US I was offered 20% off a full gold SkyD and 15% off a Platona last October

Most dealers won’t discount even full PM in the US to my knowledge, but those are solid discounts.

Yes, it was at Tourneau. No discount on the RG black dial.

The discount was offered on the Platonas. And also on a Full gold SkyD.

Years ago I was in an AD that was dropping the Rolex line or closing the location in that mall. All the remaining Rolex watches were 50% off. One of those pieces was a WG Daytona with a white dial. Would have been about 16K. Still regret not jumping on that one.
