If I had to go WG I would get something that:

1. I like
2. Is unique to WG.

In this situation BLUE all the way, and it really does look good in the pictures, even though I have not seen this one in person.

Good luck and congrats.

Both are great options, but Olive is the winner IMHO.

I would go with the green dial as I think it is very unique and stands out in a good way with the WG. The blue is striking but there are so many other blue dial watches on the market with all types of metal that the green makes it even stronger.

Very well said and my thoughts as well. I owned the rose gold for a period and have thought of going for the wg in the future.

Couldn't agree more.

By the way, I may be old, but not bald or overweight.

It will definitely be a White gold dd40 (228239) and I must have the deconstructed Romans. Want some colour and the finalist are Blue dial vs Olive Green dial. It has taken months to narrow to these two.

I know, I know.... I should buy the one that sings to me the most rather than be swayed by random connoisseurs. I love them both though; equally. It is going to be a coin toss at this rate. So any help to push me one way or t’other would be appreciated. It is your collective fault that I face this predicament after all

Green dial looks so much more special.

Have owned both, and both are spectacular. As for my choice...my favorite color is blue so it’s fairly easy. From a purely shallow, aesthetic point...blue matches more of my wardrobe....BUT...as others have said ....the green is unique in the WG setting, quietly stunning. I will say the blue is more visually striking in the flesh, as the green doesn’t quite pop as much. The green is more of an elegant/subtle dial...IMO
No wrong choice here...both are seriously stunning!

I agree with what’s others have stated, blue in WG and green in RG. I’m assuming from your statement “I want some color” that you don’t have a blue dial in your collection yet. If that’s the case then I’d say definitely blue

I own the RG DD40 with chocolate dial, but if I had to choose a dial on the white DD40, it would 100% be blue. Stunning.

White, quadrant or rhodium only. The other colors are too specific, and I have a bat / hulk to cover that

I think the blue is more versatile. That's what I would pick.

Blue DD is a stunner! Most people play it safe with DD's, you don't see the blue too often.

I never considered a DD until I saw a photo here. It was the WG DD with deconstructed romans in... BLUE!

That’s my choice but I think both would be fantastic. Good luck!

Had the chance to see both of them together today. Still no easier to choose so the coin toss gave Blue the win. Hard to photo accurately but here’s the contenders and the winner....

My vote is WG Olive. You can reserve the blue dial on the DJ 41 SS although my preference would be on the Dark Rhodium.
