Yes. When I first became interested in Rolex about 15 years ago, I was all about their SS pieces. Now I find myself gravitating toward PM, particularly YG.

been into them for what now, twenty years and nope, still find I like the same stuff....Rolex, Omega, Tudor....mostly steel, like some PM models from afar.

Sure, I never had any interest in a chrono. Now my next watch will likely be a Speedmaster Moonwatch. I started eyeballing these a while back, and now I want one!

By the time I started collecting seriously my aesthetic in regards to architecture, art, clothes and yes watches was pretty well developed.

i thought i was a dive watch guy but in the end i became a chronograph guy (it sort of just happened)

I think taste def changes. Divers are still my fav but one of my grails is a plat DD40 with ice blue motif dial.

I think three things determine the change for me:

1. Age
2. I sometimes see collecting like a video game. Conquered steel so on to PM or holy trinity
3. Social media. With so many pics, youtube etc. it's a lot easier to stumble on something you like
