I agree the GMT II rocks !

You don't get a 120 click bezel on a GMT IIc if that's important.

I thought that the old Sub was 13mm thick, so is the new Sub 0.5mm thinner? But the above material shows the existing case as 12.17mm.

Anyway, I think the new black sub is cool. Never really liked the blue and still don't.

I'm looking to buy my first Rolex. My father worked with Comex Pro so has always work a Submariner on a Nato band and I cannot get the thing out of my head when looking for a new watch.

Any idea what the price will be in the US and if it's worth the trip Aruba?

Ouch $10,400 for the black ceramic tt. Better start collecting the pennies and hopefully by Christmas I'll be a new owner

This is a different subject, but I think the WG Blue Sub is THE most beautiful watch in the world.

I will always be on SS budget and really can't afford that!

I'm commenting on this because i'm a TT black sub owner, the new bezel for the TT black sub looks very crisp and robust it has a very mature look to it, the blue to my surprise grabs you when you see it in person, the smurf blue really does compliment the watch itself......I have tried both of them on and it if i could afford it i would attain both...

Me too! (On both points)

I personally do not like those big lugs / super-case enhancements, but both pieces, in thier own way, are beautiful. The W/G cobalt blue is my grail...maybe someday.

I am not digging the new case. Looks to me like Rolex forgot a machining step. I love the old blue. The blue always separated itself from its much more common black steel model. It was also more nautical and fit the Submariners theme. The new blue looks less demetional and flatter.
IMO the new Sub looks older than the current model its replacing.

My Serti Sub wasnt going anywhere anyway. After 12years of ownership and I still love the look over any other Rolex.

I picked up the TT black a couple of months ago, I ended up switching the band because it is out of proportion with the size of the watch. Until I find something I like better, I'll stick with the rubber dive band, Mike.
