I just got a new 15500 and am leaving for Africa very soon. I expect it will be much more banged up than this and that will be just fine with me. Obviously, I'd leave it.

Mh, because it isn't just a scratch, yeah I would. I liked the part about getting to enjoy it unblemished too. Then start with hairlines on the clasp or side of the case, you know. One step at a time.

Don’t get it repaired.

You will get some more and after the first few it becomes more bearable to the point you stop thinking about it.

I also damaged mine on the first wear and spent the first few months very conscious of damage but now totally relaxed.

Wear and enjoy - even with some damage it still looks amazing !

You guys are the best. I’ve decided to leave it as is and you’re all very correct that more little things will show up and it’ll be like chasing a phantom. The first one sure hurts but as a member pointed out it’s the same with a new car and its first scratch or door ding. When the diver is due for servicing I’ll have it done then or just let it shine the patina. Which can also be very nice.
