Hope your job is still there, you can only make a judgement call on the here and now, you never know watch may still be there if hopefully things improve and you’re in a position to pull the trigger, good luck.

Wishing you all the best good sir. These bad times will pass.

You 100% did the right thing. It’s a big purchase and if it doesn’t feel completely right, holding off is the only option

Absolutely the right thing to do. As has been mentioned, you want to enjoy the watch, not worry about it.

Great decision in these uncertain times. A watch is only watch. Better to feel happy and secure that better times will roll around again and that Rolex make millions of watches. As Dan said, when the time is right the purchase will be much more satisfying.

I guess there is many people in the same situation as you. You made the right choice, I know you must be disappointed now, but you time will come. Health and family are much more important at this time.

Can't argue with that decision - tough, but good call. As others have said, it's just a watch.

I think you made the right choice. A Rolex is a luxury and you shouldn’t feel uncertain or uncomfortable when the time comes . As others have said, it’s just a watch. Additionally, fortunately for you the explorer has not been too difficult to obtain, so when you are ready, it should be available without much of a wait. It’s a great watch (I’m an owner), so something good to look forward to when all this madness subsided and you get back to work- wishing you the best of luck and again kudos on your restraint .

You made the right move & you're definitely not alone.

As far as those Rolex AD's have never had it better during the lockdown posts that keep floating around: it reminds me of the last 30 minutes of the Big Short when the banks try to offload as much as they can before the rest of the market finds out.

I spoke to my wife and she said that if I wanted to pull the trigger that would be fine as I had put the money aside, but deep down I guess I knew it would be selfish to proceed at this time of turmoil.
When I do pick up my first Rolex with my wife I want to enjoy every last second of the experience and not let it be clouded by a slightly guilty feeling.

The AD seemed to be very understanding and have had this happen a few times recently and could see that I wasn't a time waster and has said that as soon as I'm ready they'll put me back on the list: Time will tell
Out of interest had this been Bristol or Cheltenham AD?

The watch will come knocking again. Hopefully you'll be able to get back to work after all this is over. It's better to enjoy a watch guilt free rather than having a cloud over your head.
