My 16013 was purchased from AD in Glendale, California, USA in February 1987. I can't find a number on the box, but I think it's a RUSA box. Here is photo.

Looking at the different boxes that the various watches have been identified with on the various lists............ there is very little evidence to indicate that any specific box goes with any specific watch model... only generalities..

Right watch, wrong box?
Thanks for the work. My wifes TTDJ M serial came in the "correct" box. However both my V serial SS GMTIIc and my D serial TTDJ came in 31 00 04 box. All were purchased from an AD.

Hi,
I am new to this fourm and have a question regarding this topic. I purchased a used DateJust from Ben Bridge over the weekend. Since it is used I did not receive a box or any papers. I would really like to get a box the same age as this watch, here is some of the info off my watch. Model #16234, serial # starts with a KXXXXXX, and bracelet DE10. Any help would be apprieciated. |

Well blama, I think E-bay is your friend.
1. Go to ebay and do a search for your watch or any DateJust with a K serial. 2. Once you have found some examples of your watch box (I think it is the one with the pillow) then do a search for Rolex boxes for sale. 3. 1 and 2 should get you to where you want to be.

Bought a new sub date from AD this month.
Box number 30.00.71 Ad told me they have plenty of boxes and theres no way to match the box with a watch. They even gave me an extra box. A 68.00.71 because liked the way it looks (soft leather on top). |

I'm new and this is my first post. Purchased my first Rolex watch January 9, 2010. I have not received any documentation or papers with it yet. They told me I would receive it in the mail. The number on the side of the box is 18684704. It's a Datejust. On the face it says "Oyster Perpetual Date". What can someone tell me about this watch? Thanks.

Regarding what box goes with what (current models).
There are three box references. Inside the ADs they are known as Samoa (small), Moorea (medium), Lagoon (large). Rolex ships the watches packed separately with the warranty cards and paperwork attached to them (see the plastic boxes posted above). The way it works: Small - all stainless steel models, including Yachtmaster Rolesium (I think) but excluding the Sea Dweller Deepsea Medium - Rolesor (two tone) Large - Full gold, platinum, and Sea Dweller Simple as that. If you got the paper sleeve with your box there is a sticker on the side indicating what it's for. |
