Hi all, thank you for the constructive and funny answers, for me this is important to keep them as original as possible.

I know, and I have absolutely no judgement on this, there are rolex lovers who like to keep every scratch, dent on the watch and pay premium for an unpolished watch.

For me a watch with scratches , dents, etc would be a definitely no go if not restored properly.

I like to drive a nice looking car and not a one who has survived ten years of driving in f.e. Napels or Paris.
So everybody his own preferences.

I will try to heat the stickers a little to soften the glue and give it a go.

For me it is important to keep the bracelet also nice on the inside, we all know about the shiny spot were one part of the clasp runs with the inside of the bracelet.
Same for the back of the watch, I like to keep the sticker in place so I No have scratches on the back from putting him down at night dial up from the bracelet.

It's a watch, an inanimate object. You don't have any "history" with it.

Honest question, Why?

Do you save the box and Styrofoam that your HP Printer came in as well?

With a hairdryer at a low temperature maybe?, anyone any experience with this?

Kind regards,

I don’t know is stickers behave differently on gold than on steel because on steel, they peel off gently without any resistance.
Peeling them off won’t destroy them at all.
Congrats on your DD.
Pictures ?! ;-)

So, i don't know how to break it to you. You were not supposed to take the stickers off. You have now voided the warranty and the value of the watch has gone down 50%.

Let the OP enjoy his first PM watch the way he wants to... What difference does it make if he throws it away or saves it?

OP -congratulations and wear it in good health.

I get it... enjoy the watch. I hope he enjoys the watch as well and congrats to the OP on the new watch. But to start a thread about how to carefully remove stickers and keep them in one piece? Holy hell this forum is getting a little bit ridiculous...

I get why some people want to keep some things original as possible. However, its a piece of vinyl that will eventually shrink, crack and yellow. Throw it away.

And a warranty card is completely useless once the warranty is over but telling people you're throwing away one of those will send them into a frenzy.

Why wear the watch? Why don’t you just place it in an airtight display case? Enjoy it like a piece of art. No worry of any scratches...

In all seriousness, I get it is a great purchase and you want to keep it pristine. But keep in mind, it is also gold. You will scratch it just by putting your wrist on a picnic table.

Yep, I am one of those.....I know they are worthless, but I have yet to throw any of my cards out.

:

Now how bout some pics of that beautiful DD, unless you’d rather show off the stickers.

I usually say to each their own, but I will be damned.

OP - try to enjoy moments and not the material things or what's associated with them. Take care.

I've had two Rolex watches new from the AD. Both watches the stickers came off neat. It's not rocket science.

OP you do you... But the removal of the stickers isn't hard and they should easily stay in good shape.

Considering how often people write posts about "protecting the watch from scratches" I am surprised wearing a sticker laden watch has not become a trendy thing to do.
