My wrist size is about 6.75. I could probably go with either one as well but having tried both I just preferred the 36. Maybe it’s because of the actual dial size or maybe it’s because a DJ is a more elegant watch compared to the professional models that I’d rather size down than up.

Would love to hear what tips the scales in favor of the 114060 in your eyes. This is a hot take and I’m all for it.

114060 if second or third watch. 116610LN for first and definitely only. Yes ND is clean and nice but man you will need/want the date and then you get use to the non clean lines of the cyclops/date.

We're all biased, of course, but as an owner of a sub Date and a Daytona I much prefer the date function on my watch. All of my future purchases will have the Date function (unless I stumble upon a 6263 ).
Good thing is you truly can't go wrong

I purchased a 16610 as my first Rolex and still have it. Any of the classics you mention are a good start to a collection.

I usually only like a Sub sans date if it's a two-liner. Would make an exception for a 5512.

I support your idea to get a Sub and a GMT, also because are my favorite Rolex
Moreover is perfect to combine the Sub No Data with the GMT Bateman, you will have 2 gorgeous pieces. The only suggestion I have is to go for the new Sub 41 (ref. 124060) instead of the 114060 Maxi Case, it looks much better on the wrist, IMHO. The Hulk is quite a particular watch and I see more as a 5th or 6th watch in a collection, for sure after a Daytona and a DJ. |

114060 was my 1st springboard, can't go wrong with it as a starting point. Best of luck on your search

Personally I don't care for a date on my Subs. I have 5 and 6 digits of each. I'll suggest 114060 and a 16710 but if you prefer the Blnr that's all good as well. Happy Choosing...

114060 for the win. Get more compliments on the NoDate sub than any other Rolex I have ever owned.
