I love the Rhoda notepads however they don’t like some MB ink without being perfectly dry. I picked up American Cursive on my midnight shifts out of boredom. This is on cheap copy paper. Didn’t realize how small the actual font is supposed to be. Somewhat difficult using a Medium Nib though.

Thanks for the tip. Is that a notepad with some modelled cursive script that you then copy, to learn beautiful handwriting? I would like something like that…

Yes that’s exactly what it is. It’s a workbook the Art of American Cursive by Michael R. Sull. Watch some YT Vids if him it’s insane. Anyways I just photo copy the work sheets and practice. It’s amazing to learn what I wasn’t taught in school. I highly suggest it.

Thank you! Before your recommendation, I ordered the Getty & Dubay book ‘Write Now’. Gonna watch some Sull YT videos while I wait for that. My writing isn’t great! Have always admired good handwriting, like the cards I used to get from an uncle. A lot to learn.

Sull is an expert in that cursive style that has ornate calligraphy (can’t remember the style name off by heart) which is gorgeous and magical to watch an expert perform. I think he does it with a custom quill. However that was never my goal, the American cursive was pushing it. I think that might be more my speed so I think you made a wise choice. It’s fun and you can definitely watch your improvement. The real test is bringing it to unlined paper. Im almost there. Down to 1/8” size now but I find it’s still very hard to keep a level line going and keeping scale.

Is that the same workbook as The Art of Cursive Penmanship?

Checking Amazon, it was the only one with a similar title.
