Your money, your watch, your suit. Enjoy it in every outfit combo you can think of.

With a sports jacket it’s OK, on a fine three piece suit it looks rather amusing, just as a pair of sneakers would.
It’s funny to observe the great lengths people go to look as cool as Sean Connery.
They never succeed.

Just because you can or think it looks great doesn’t mean it really is.

Luckily it’s a free world where poor and good taste in style are both allowed

Suites should be worn with a dress watch not a Sub.

My mistake. I should have said wearing scuba gear with your suit
For those who reference James Bond, you are not the FICTIONAL character known as James Bond from the 60s. Not only is wearing a Sub with a suit unimaginative, it is what non watch people do. It is also what people who only have one good watch do.

If you say so, I will ignore your responses as you are either a wind up merchant or attention seeking, good bye.

I love reading these threads where people opine on the types of watches that are not acceptable to wear with a suit and tie.

Can you imagine the nightmare it would be, to be married to one of these rigid, imaginary rule-following nuts?

I always laugh when the dress matrix is rolled out.

Beautiful. I think you can wear any watch with a suit these days. Sometimes you see people (even celebrities) wearing sneakers with suits and that drives me crazy. That's just me, tough. If you want to wear sneakers with a suit then you do you. lol

Anyone who judges me for what watch I am wearing this day in age, can go you know what.

I do however appreciate those who match their watch and attire well. However, I see 99% of folks with an apple watch / Fitbit at weddings suited up.

This rule is out the window! Not even sure it is an opinion. I consider it a fact.

Unless you particularly feel uncomfortable in a situation wear what you like, the days of specific watches for suited and booted days, then different on casual days are long gone. You choose what to wear and when and enjoy seeing your choice on your wrist.

From the reactions here there are obviously some more people on TRF who think it doesn’t look good.

I like to follow ancient ‘guidelines’ in my daily life as well.
No harm in being traditional imho.

Just can’t help smiling in silence if I see an obvious faux pas in my eyes i.e. wearing sneakers with a suit.

I think it works beautifully depending on the person and the attitude. Don’t be bound by the fashion constraints of others.

Sub goes well with everything. Think about anything, a Sub would definitely fit in
