It’s a rumor, yet is perhaps the most plausible. A 70 hr power reserve movement in the new Subs is a no brainer

Seems very unlikely but I would love a steel sports watch from Patek or Rolex in the 36-38mm range. I fear the 5165 might have been the last of its kind for the foreseeable future.

My AD has told me twice in the last few weeks that there are no new watches being launched this year, everything is on hold until 2021.

But they did state that new movements will go into a lot of watches, Subs, Milgauss, Air Kings, Explorers etc. A major revamp of the range.

So whether the announcement in September is to advise that the new range will be available in 2021 or from September remains to be seen but life looks interesting in Rolex world.

We've heard this "rumor" every year since the Parachrom came out. I suppose that eventually it will be true..

Yup, just like some doomsayers here, keep saying the same thing for many years, sometime someday in the future some might finally look not wrong for awhile :-)

The rumor my AD told me was that I would get my Sky-Dweller this year. It's worth the paper it's (not) printed on.

I think after Rolex themselves put it out there, the September release date is hardly a rumor... more like an official announcement to their distribution network.

This isn't locked yet because no one asked whether we are all selling our current subs to be on a 2 year wait list for a new one?

So....who's selling their current subs to get a new one...

There you go.... :-)

I hope the maxi case loses some of its ‘maxi’.

To each his own I suppose...I absolutely love my 114060. If I could only have one it would be that.

I can't help but think of this when we talk about new watches. And I get fired up for the 58 Blue or a Sub with a new movement, but I still find this both hilarious and accurate.

For me it doesn’t motivate me enough to want to spend 10k plus retail on a new movement. My guess is that Rolex will make some subtle tweaks to get their fans to justify owning another sub

They’re not just gonna put a new movement into the sub and not do anything else special. If the case stays the same maybe they’ll do a platinum sub with ice blue dial and darker blue cerachrom bezel

Said this back in Nov/Dec.. there will be a new movement and case for the sub. Nothing crazy so don’t get too excited.

I don’t think it takes an expert or someone with “insider information “ to know the Sub is getting a new movement!

I’m going to say this in every one of these threads until Rolex hears me - give the Sub a wider hour hand to match the minute hand! (Like the SD, DSSD, GMT) That skinny hour hand bothers me more than do the lugs.

Guys lets keep all rumours of TRF best wait from official source direct from Rolex as they are the only ones that know when, and if any new models are released it's that simple.
