At the end of the day you have to try them on.
Pictures can’t tell the whole story. I always thought I’d prefer the 5 digit until I tried them both, and to my surprise I much preferred the maxi case (165mm wrist). Funny thing is I still think the older one looks better in pictures. |

why pay a premium for a NOS 14060M if the intention is to wear it? save a few $000 and buy a mint full set watch will be my route

Just one vote in it now. As expected while our bigger and brasher cousins west of the Atlantic sleep the slimmer 14060 sees a surge of votes from slighter Asians and understated Europeans. Expect maxicase rebound at about 1400 Zulu.
(Just a lighthearted bit of casual stereotyping for you there. ) |

Love both. The 14060M is as great a watch as there is. However for me, the maxi dial/hands and larger profile give the 114060 a slight edge for me. YMMV

Go for the 14060 you will regret not buying it in the future. Getting less every other day in the market.

I really enjoyed owning the 14060m but once the 114060 was introduced I fell for the new changes - ceramic bezel, glidelock. super case, chromalight etc.
Many still prefer the 5 digit and rightfully so. It's a great reference. Just not for me. |

I voted for the newer model but it depends on your wrist size. Try them on before you buy. It will make all of the difference.

I have owned both. You can't go wrong either way, but if money were no object, I'd get the 14060M.
I say "no object" because I think the going market price is too high, which is why I don't currently own one.

114060 all day baby. This is coming from a guy with small wrists (6.5) and I had both side by side when I chose. While the 5 digit wore a hair smaller the improvement in quality of the 6 digit was much better. Both are classics and will remain so deep into the future.

I have both. I bought my 114060 new in 2017 and recently purchased an unworn 14060M random ser. from the original owner one year ago. Its still a safe queen for now but I'd give it the edge over the new one if I had to choose one.[IMG]https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20200801/fabcbfa28a2b76fa6055e4e687b38ff0.jpg
