If you sell it, I’ll buy it! It may be our only hope!

To getting the Rolex we want, and now, even the Tudor we’ve had an eye on...

And I come here to talk about out watches, not to read whiny posts like the above. Seriously, if a hat makes you feel like that, it’s time to sell your Rolex and use the money on a shrink.

But in as far as how it makes you feel, I have been very conscious of this Sam Harris quote lately, and have been trying to apply it to my filter through which I view this world:

“Your capacity to be offended isn’t something that I or anyone else needs to respect. Your capacity to be offended isn’t something that you should respect. In fact, it is something that you should be on your guard for. Perhaps more than any other property of your mind, this feeling can mislead you.”
That's a pretty rich quote coming from someone who's made a career out of being a Islamophobe and racist.

Thanks for adding some serious sophistication here. The quote reads okay. Now I need to look up who Mr. Sam Harris is, of whom I have not been aware.

Cheers

I normally don’t respond to people who throw around disgusting labels on the web.

I would never do it personally unless the proof was so categorically and unquestionably true that the target of the labels would happily acknowledge and even proudly accept them.

So all I am going to say is if you truly believe that, read his podcast on pulling back from the brink and then use your own facts to reassess your views.

https://samharris.org/can-pull-back-brink/

I wish you the very best and hope that in future you are more thoughtful and deliberate in what you choose to put out there against another person’s name. I am sure you would want others to extend you the same courtesy

I’m not defending anyone I just think we need to take responsibility for our own actions.

I usually arrive with a banana taped to the inside of my cycling shorts to let them know I mean business.
