If buying for history then BLRO. It also commands a slightly higher premium on the secondary market (~2k) if that is important to you. For me it came down to looks and I love the blue on the BLNR and I am not a fan of red. I appreciate the history of the Pepsi, but what is most important is what is on my wrist.

I personally feel they can both exist in a collection but if you’re choosing only one, I’d go with the BLRO myself
History, versatility and simply just absolutely beautiful!!

Supply and demand i suppose.
Blnr was first to recieve bi color ceramic bezel. Gmtiic was first rolex to recieve ceramic bezel (all black), which I owned. It was my second rolex and paid less than 6k usd bnib from grey. I miss those days of trying on in store and having options on discounts from ads and greys. My how this hobby has changed over the recent years.

Pepsi is harder to find, but like the Batman way better. I don’t have either not a gmt fan, but do like the black and blue together.

After the anticipation of seeing the new pepsi upon it's announcement I was left a little underwhelmed when trying it on. I ended up purchasing a new batman, thanks to my AD later the same year, Oct '18. A year later my pepsi itch was cured finding the right 16710.

Pepsi. I was ready to pay for the batman when ad say, I thought you want Pepsi? Ad says if so you should wait, lol. So I passed on batman and should get Pepsi within the next month is my guess

The BLRO is the more difficult one to find in our parts at least.

I've owned both, but the BLNR just never sang to me and I sold it to a member here within 6 months of ownership.

The BLRO on the other hand is a keeper ... at least IMHO

Just got the call from my AD yesterday-could not believe it - he actually had a BLRO for me
Just picked it up tonight. Beautiful.
Had the Batman and unloaded it - much prefer BLRO - Batman was too similar to my black sub

Know what they’re listed for but what’s a reasonable price for grey market BLRO? 17?

If both at retail suggested pricing, then BLRO 100%. If you're talking grey market pricing, there is room to debate but I'd say neither.

You are correct.

The BLRO sells at a higher premium to the BLNR, probably due to fact that it harkens back to the original reference.

Collectors and watch fans waited a long time for Rolex to re-introduce the Pepsi bezel.

You’ll need to be a preferred client at an AD to get one at list price

I was at my Rolex AD the other day. The Rep advised me that the BLRO is only second to the Daytona for desirability according to their waiting list. At least here in Sydney, Australia.

BLRN not that much more of a premium on grey - collectors1946 has one up for about $14,500 - only a premium of 5k

It's either time or money...
