I posted this on the other Milgauss thread. But it looks like this one is taking off rather than being consolidated, so I will repost here and subscribe if this is going to be the new Milgauss thread. Have a great weekend everyone.

It's a very nice combination with the orange and black; it won't be long before the holiday arrives (you know the one of which I speak). Actually looking forward to wearing it on that day.

Loving this thread; not many alternatives for straps on the MGLV. I tried an old unused strap that didn't work (looked ugly). I'm curious as to what endlinks those are and what strap they're on with. I've ordered a fitted black rubber strap which should be here in a couple of days. Neither RubberB nor Everest have anything that will work or I'm interested in. I ended up ordering from Zealande which has a black fitted strap for the Milgauss. Here's mine on a Tudor fabric strap!!! |

I am thinking to add a Milgauss to my collection, but I cannot decide getting the black dial or getting the blue dial. Can I have some advice?
Thank you. |

I bought black first. It’s more reserved. Then added blue. Love both. I think the black is more versatile. That’s why I got it first. There are colors I wouldn’t wear with the blue if I had a choice. But if it were my only watch I’d wear either one with anything and be proud of it on my wrist. It’s my favorite a Rolex model for daily wear. |

The black is more versatile, but the blue is more mesmerizing IMO. Blue is my favorite followed by the discontinued white dial

I think the black is better looking (imho); the blue is more popular, fwiw (also imho).

True, after the new excitement wore off prices fell and the Milly lost its allure and many stopped chasing it. However, those of us who really like this watch and didn't chase it for the sport, still enjoy and wear our watches on a regular basis. I still love mine.

First post, second Rolex. The favorite by an easy margin. I guess this is considered an “EU” dial? Wide spacing between the MIL and thinner overall typeface. It’s tough to find resources on the dial variations of these references!

One of the cooler things about the Milgauss is the bit of text on the back of the case!!!

I've always enjoyed the proportions of the Milgauss. 40mm case, 20mm lugs, and a tapered oyster bracelet make it the perfect size for me. Also like the slightly beefier than typical twinlock crown and the bolder, larger, dial script. Just big enough, but not too big. The sweet spot, IMO.
