Only place in the world right now might be cruise ship port ADs, mmmmmaybe airport AD too. Am sure virtually all longtime TRF members would agree Wempe, Tiffany, Tourneau... normal stores have looong lists generally. It's a sign of the times.

About five years ago I walked into Mayors at UTC and bought the Sub that was sitting in the showcase. Hulks were not so loved at that time. Polars sat in the case for weeks+.

Best bet, invent a time machine.

You seem to be an authority and speak in absolutes, not every potential buyer is on TRF and my guess based on my experiences is some buyers get their first Rolex, a sub, from an AD.
I think Fleet said "at a large chain like Mayors." With that qualifier, I would have to agree.

Stay safe.

Yes, and a few boutiques for 'boutique only' pieces. Nick @ Tampa came through wonderfully with a Batman a few weeks back, so now have both GMT bracelet types

OP, sorry you had the bad experience but I agree with those that say right now, and for the foreseeable future, there really is no chance of getting the new SS sub at Mayors (at MSRP) without spending a ton of money on other things from their store. I would head over to David SD in Orlando, he is a trusted seller and has treated everyone on TRF very well, there are tons of referrals and I am sure you will feel comfortable buying from him. Yes, you will be paying more then MSRP, but it will be a lot less then you would have to pay at Mayors buying other items you don’t really want just to get the sub at MSRP. GOOD LUCK!!
