Lots of great watches, but the problem is none are a Rolex.

If you have the wrist for it and like Titanium, the Pelagos is probably the best dive watch out there (in my opinion). The price is absolutely ridiculous for what you are getting.

Nothing matches the lume on the Pelagos. If you want more high polish/flashy finishing, then this is not your watch. I would go Omega or GO in that case.

In your humble opinion, what do you think are the best options out there to fulfill that desire?

Let’s try to find all together great alternatives.
Maybe some of these?

Glashutte SEAQ 39.5mm

I really like that Glashutte. Just not sure it's worth near-Rolex prices. At Tudor prices I'd be thinking harder about it, given all that you get when you buy a Tudor. I've been looking around and can't find much on reliability or accuracy for the Glashutte(Two of the things I find pretty important). But heck, there are some nice ETA divers out there in the sub-1K range. I have my favorite Rolex and might add a DD someday but always on the lookout for another diver as a change of pace.

This! I actually really like the GO 39 but would probably like it more if it didn't have the numbers.

I love Tudor and would definitely pick the blue Pelagos over the BB58 Blue.

The BB58 Blue dial is a miss for me personally (I tried it, it’s dull) but will admit that it is a very unique shade of blue that is certainly deserving of a fanbase.

From Panerai, I really like the PAM 1058.

This. Omegas a big jump in quality, fit and finish over a Tudor and equal to Rolex in most every way. Several good options including the Planet Ocean, 300m, and my favorite the no-date vintage inspired 300!

Agreed, my favorite and best bang for the buck sweet spot are the 42mm 300m divers with ceramic wave dials (his gray pic). I'd take it over Tudors.

I recently bought the Seiko SPB149 (55th anniversary) It is a great blue diverwatch that I enjoyed a lot this summer.

We got the watch we expected, just happened to be in WG and the surprise was a new Kermit in SS. Personally I think Rolex screwed this up a bit and what they should've done was launch the SS LB black dial and WG Kermit. But hey, I'm sure people will go crazy for them regardless...

As for other divers in SS it would have to be Blancpain hands down imo.

I was hoping for a pretty blue SS as well and glad it didn’t come because now I don’t have to deal with the AD process of trying to get my hands on one.

D-Blue doesn't have enough blue?

Blue dial PAM Sub could be a good way to go

Omega, Tudor, and Seiko are your best options. The Glashutte and Blancpain are overly fussy and don't suit the spirit of these kinds of watches I think.

I'd actually go far as to say Rolex does blue divers better in the Pelagos and BB58 than it does with any of the blue Submariners…

At that point I would guess the Kermit C will be discontinued, as would the 126619LB and replaced with a 126610LB and black dial and 126619LB with a sunburst blue dial. Rolex probably had some leftover LV bezels to use up after the Hulk

I said Out of the Blue was too on point and thus a red herring, Rolex like to be a bit more mysterious.

I love the SMP, esp the blue and grey dial, and the blue strap works well with it too, goes a petrol blue colour in some lights which is really cool.

Bb58 Blue should (temporarily?) satisfy your itch (but there's a line too) 2 weeks+ already for me

One of the most stunning blue dials out there. Plus the little touch of blued steel on the bezel. Pictures don't do this thing justice. It's as blue as it gets and the dial spanks most of the heavy hitting swiss brands.

Criminally underrated watch.

To most closely replicate the Sub - the BB58 is the right choice. To have the most comparable watch by function and panache - get the Omega.

I’m pretty happy with my Tag Aquaracer. I have both the SS and ‘rubber’ bands for it - the latter is my current band of choice.

I would go with the Glashutte, it's a hell of a nice watch, and good value.
