I never cared for the green Subs, but that’s just me. However, I’d be all over a blue one.

...love green watches! I have a kermit, milgauss gv and a hulk bought in 2005, 2008 and 2017 respectively.

The only green I really like is the olive dial on the white gold DD. That thing is sharp.

Just like every other colour in the spectrum, some like, some don’t. That why Rolex (and others) don’t only produce one colour, they make few different ones to try cater for more people’s tastes.

Personally I’m not a fan of too much green (tried the Hulk on multiple times).

Green watches? St St with a green bezel and or green dial no, not for me. A gold watch with a green dial such as the Daytona, hell no. Just my individual preference and others will disagree am sure.
A blue dial and or blue bezel on a Sub, now that is class...

I'm of the opinion one has to have the right personality to pull of a (very) green watch.

I truly don't understand comments like this.

I've posted these pics before, but here they are again - do I have the "right" personality??

Had the LVC. No more green watches for me. I am a blue watch or even orange in a diver fan.

I like it but it's too much green for me. If it were a non date I'd be more tempted.. I'm more of a blue fan, especially the marina type blue so I'm happy with my Zblue.

IMHO green does not belong on a Rolex Sport Watch...just got a notification from Crown and Caliber and they are asking $19K for a "Hulk" Wow..again IMHO more money than taste to pick up that watch at that price...

Same here. Out of college, I didn't have much fashion sense and I made the mistake of purchasing a pair of dark green shaded dress shoes. Pretty expensive ones, too.

I don't know what I was thinking at the time, but I've maybe wore the thing 4-5 times max in past decade, and it's been collecting dust ever since.

If you love the green for some reason, sure, go ahead and get the Hulk or Kermit.

Me personally, someone would need to pay me to wear the monstrosity of a watch they call the Hulk.

Not for me personally and I’m surprised but the huge popularity of recent, so we seem to be in the minority. For me it’s comes down to how I dress and co-ordination, just doesn’t fit in well for me.

I don't disagree that 19k for the Hulk is obscene...but when I scooped at $7,600 with B&P a few years ago pre-owned? No-brainer for this beauty.

Not a big fan of green watches with the exception of the olive green OP and DayDate. I also kind of like the new green color on the new OP41.

Green goes great with blue, grey, black and in some cases red. You could wear a Hulk with a nice black suit, green cufflinks and some green in your tie and pocket square. That’s just one example.

For casual just look above. He is wearing his with a blue shirt and a grey shirt. Both shirts look great with his hulk.

I sort of like this one. It reminds me of the green dialed watch my father wore during the early 70s.

I missed out on both the original Kermit and Hulk. The new LV is top of my list and I don't think I have anything in my semi-retirement wardrobe that I couldn't wear it with (my wife might beg to differ though). I don't think I'll go for the green OP41 as I'm looking at the turquoise blue and yellow ahead of it.

I had a Kermit in the rotation for 7 years but I wore it only a handful of times.
I sold it and doubled my money but that didn't matter.
It had to go!
I just couldn't wrap my head around a green watch.

i love the green on the LVc. I wear mostly black or white T-shirts so a little pop of color for me goes a long way. Same with suits, usually white dress shirt and gray suit.

it looks great in pics -- just mentally there is a barrier there for me as well with green fitting into my clothing / outfit. that being said, could feel differently if i had the opportunity to try it on the wrist and see for myself

I asked the very well dressed GM if she had and gold tie clips. She said no. As I was lamenting the difficulty of finding one she just blurted out this statement I’ll never forget. Lol. She said,”You know why you can’t find nice things for men today? Because man dress like crap today and don’t care”. She was pretty passionate about it. Since then I’ve given it some thought and she’s right. Compare how men dressed in the 1920s, 30s, 40s, 50s and 60s to today. It’s completely degraded. I’m not the slightest bit surprised (most) men don’t know how to fit a green watch into their wardrobe.

Come to London, buy your Church’s shoes in Knightsbridge made in Northampton, your suit from Saville Row, and a watch from Harrods, where I promise you can buy gold tie clips.

Style is timeless.

Harrods has tie clips? Like a wide array of choices? :-)

This.

Never go full matchy matchy.

I don’t know, but the watch looks sweet.

I’m not any particular big fan of green. But green is the Rolex color, and I’m a Rolex-head.

For that reason, and because the sunburst dial sometimes gleams like an emerald, I like my SubC LV.

I don't think anyone wants to matchy matchy like Pepsi owners don't dress as Superman... all the time. Green is just perceived as difficult. The Hulk is very green.

Green is a big no no for me.

In my culture the expression "wearing a green hat" signifies that a man's wife or girlfriend has cheated on him.

I do not wear anything green.
Thats just me ... I am sure others in my culture loves green.
