It's a pleasure Ash, I'm really glad they've gone to a good home!

Along similar 'upcycling' lines I'm just commissioning a couple of these 'Piston Desk Clocks'. The first is created using a Battle of Britain 1940 Merlin piston from a Spitfire and the second from a works circa 1955 D-Type Jaguar:

You just need AP pocket watches on there and you'd have a double whammy.

Very cool stuff and again thanks for the spitfire cuff links, I second Ash's sentiments.

Just as an FYI, Ash and Chris and I met up casually at AP House for a coffee and catch up with the lovely AP House family. Given our current global covid scenario there's not much hope of any proper events at AP House any time soon, but when normality, or what passes for new normality, returns then I haven't forgotten about an AP House get together for a proper day of socialising amongst us forum members.

Thanks Gary! I genuinely look forward to this! Let's hope we are successful with everything we need to get this pandemic behind us...

I visited AP House in Bond Street this evening and stayed till nearly 7pm. My first visit to the new premises. My actual first visit to look at AP watches in nearly 18 months or so.

It was good to catch up with many of the AP crew. The new premises are fabulously done up and I look forward to their events there.

Took some time to view the watches. I very much liked the new green camo 44 and also the white diver caught my eye....

AP House is definitely somewhere that time can run away from you and before you know it you've been there hours.

I went up today (currently in the middle of an 8 hour round trip) thanks to Ash putting me in touch with Adam. Picked up my 1st AP - I’m sure there will be more after seeing the quality!

Be nice to meet some of you AP guys one day when things get back to normal.

Very cool.

One day in the future a GTG is on the cards.

Enjoy your new toy.
