Love the daytona, but not at the expense of the IP.

One additional thought: as my collection moves up market, I tend to try and avoid pieces that others may have, i.e. I value uniqueness more than a secondary market price might suggest. So as nice as a 5711 might be, in circles that can obtain a 5711, you'll probably find it likely to run into someone that has a 5711 at the same outing.

I have to imagine based on production numbers, the likelihood of running into anyone else ever wearing a 15202IP is very, very, very low.

Yep that's what I totally like about it too. Mine is one of 250 only.

Nice Ragsk!

So to OP, since Ragsk is in UK, you now know the probability is less than 1/249 instead of 1/250.

It's hard for me to even comment as I don't even own an AP (yet), but I feel like if I did, and I had a piece that was limited to 250, it would be extremely difficult, if not impossible, for me to ever let it go even if I was making a trade for a limited edition of 25 pieces. I feel like, given the heavy hitters in your collection and the watches you have access to, you could save a bit and keep them all while also adding awesome new and extremely limited pieces to your collection.

given the market value for both watches are very similar

Should I direct trade 15202ip for the daytona??

I am aiming to consolidate my collection
Current collection:

Patek 5980/1a blue
RM 030 ti
AP 15407st
AP 15202ip
AP code 11.59 blue chrono v2
AP 26331or blue strap

Yea i'm an AP lover

Getting the high end rolex would complete the set i feel

However, losing 15202ip would probably mean I wont ever see it again.. I am torn

Any help would be much appreciated

thanks so much

I just don't understand this point of view. You won't buy a watch because you "might" run into someone else at a party who is also wearing it. That is absurd to me, buy what you want regardless of who may or may not own it. It's akin to saying you won't buy a Ferrari 488 because when you valet it another 488 might be there too. One of which you will probably never see again.

Its more about how exclusive it is. I would still buy a 5711 too.
