While I wouldn’t turn down an opportunity to get the new ceramic double balance, I won’t be throwing my hat in the ring. The slate grey and rose gold bits are too concentrated to create a big pop like the 26585 where rose hints are scattered everywhere

Haha! I agree, but this is going to be 3x - 4x retail I’ll bet. Ceramics are extraordinarily rare on the secondary market, not to mention so much more difficult to manufacture. Add to that all the hype and it’ll be interesting to see how much over MSRP a current production piece can go.

Coming from someone that had zero chance of getting a steel, I can’t imagine how many “approvals” are needed to be awarded this one.

Being selfish, the best part of this release I hope is driving the price of the 15407ST higher.

To be clear I have no idea and am speculating. My thoughts:

1). There are very limited skeleton movements and now there are two models in production. This could put downward pressure on 15407 production.

2). More attention on the double balance skeleton is only a good thing when the market is white hot to begin with.

These releases just make me sad. I'll never be able to wear a 41mm, and pretty much all of their cool pieces are in 41.

It’s the complexity of the AP finish (angles, brushed & polished) and each bracelet segment being tapered that makes it difficult + slower to manufacture.

Churning out multiple cases, all the same shape with minimal finishing is an easier ballgame than making multiple parts that each need to be hand finished.

Yes but it’ll chip relatively easily. BTW ceramic is scratch resistant but not scratch proof.

What size is your wrist? Mine is 6.75 inch and the 41s fit me fine. It looks a little more sporty on the wrist but not as chunky as a ROO on a larger wrist.

Ive never had problems with anything wearing my Ceramic Perp, and its taken some good abuse...you just can't drop it on a marble counter top or something like that.

I’ve got a 44 offshore with ceramic bezel, I got a small chip in it in the 1st few months of owning the watch. I changed the bezel and 4 years later I have another couple of tiny chips. They’re too small to see without a loupe but you can feel them.

I'm closer to 6 inches. So unfortunately not an option :/

Been looking at the 15305ST but I feel too dirty paying its current market price.
