Hello

I don't know anything about these watches so I can't make any comments about the originality of the watch, but I like it and I hope things work out as you hope with it.

Erpin, if you can’t or aren’t having fun, what’s the point?!?
Definitely a great one for the collection and has to be fun to wear!

A good Hodinkee article on the Albino 6542. The comments are worth reading.

I haven’t seen any documentation of an albino dial existing for early 1675 models. I’m only familiar with it existing on the earlier 6542 with OCC text.

Mine is not a white dial but a silver metallic color that has faded to an ivory color. One of the experts have confirmed that there is a silver with the SCOC writing.

The only one light GMT I know is the albino 6542, but it is an OCC dial...

Best is to send it in for service like you did with your Pink 6542.

I have thought about it but with the pandemic, it may not be the right time. Perhaps, i should just enjoy wearing the watch which is why i bought in the first place.

Seems like a great (rare) watch, I'm sure there is a story to be told..............looking forward to hearing that some day.

I really hope to hear more, too. I’m a GMT nut. Something like this peaks my interest.

I asked the opinion of the VRF community and one of the experts, Xeramics gave a very interesting insight on the watch which he believes is authentic. He also suggested that i bring the watch to Rolex Geneva but i am not inclined at the moment specially with the ongoing pandemic. I sent my 6542 with the red writing to the Heritage department of Rolex Geneva just before the covid pandemic started and it took 2 years before i got my watch again.

Very cool!

I think I have said it before but I love your collection, the pieces you look at and buy and especially your mindset in this hobby.
