Seems like I need to give my lesson plan again

Thought I covered it on a different thread but here we go again.

Go to classifieds here on TRF
Search any model by name or model number
Then go to page 10-17
That should take you to listings from 2016 and older.
You will see just how different 2016 and older are different from now.

Here's a hint. You will see DaytonaC's selling for like 16k BNIB with stickers.

Moral of the story. You cant compare 2016 to the Rolex world currently.

Kudos on your mad negotiation skills, and best of luck to you on your quest to hoard as many hype Rolex as possible.

The watch plus 0% discount is reasonable, especially if the next 3 watches on your list are Prof models.

Don’t ask. And give them some chocolates. Maybe you can get another hot model later.

I would say don’t ask especially if you want more watches in the future. They will remember you as the guy who asked for a discount.

I'll be happy with tax free and I'm paying cash.

Never hurts to ask. With the current frenzy surrounding Rolex, most ADs probably won’t discount unless it has gone unsold in the display for a while.

They don’t care about cash and “tax free” is a discount equal to whatever the local rate is, in DC probably 8-9%. I don’t think you’ll get a discount on an OF Daytona.

Pay full price plus tax and bring a bottle of champagne for them. Then you'll get another.

You can ask your AD for a discount but probably you wont be able to get any discount since rolex watches are getting harder and harder to come by. Remember if you ask discount it will go to your records with your AD that you asked for discount and because of that they might not offer you any sports model next time.

Lol in your records? Please...I asked for a discount on my oysterflex and they offered me explorer 1 at same time (my friend took it) then new sub no date a few weeks later. It’s all about how you ask. I just wouldn’t be buying it based on the discount

At my AD they pull up an app on their phone with your purchase history and they could tell I got a discount on my ALS watch and even asked about it! Since it was a sister boutique and I explained I still overpaid for it vs market value they didn't make a thing of it. He isn't lying.

Purchase history ok but asking about discounts seems far fetched to me. Just my opinion.

I'm not a beggar. And I don't play games.

I don't give a damn what the situation is but I'm not doing this type of nonsense with anyone or any company.

Then I guess you'll respond with "then you won't get a Rolex".
ABSOLUTELY fine with me. Plus I don't believe that most Rolex ADs are like that. Met one, walked away in seconds then a few months later they called my office and telling me they have 2 models I was looking for.... yea no.
Not interested.

I was saying that a genuine relationship and respect can't be replaced with materialistic junk. I told them to never call me again.

He told me yes you're a long term customer and according here you asked for a discount when you purchased the omega moonphase. Lol
