So you’ve got both Daytona’s and the BLRO. Do you think you’d miss ‘em if push came to shove and you still had the white Daytona and the Meteorite?

Meteorite is the absolute best. Sell 1-2 and add cash. You definitely want the meteorite!!!

I would as you would be capitalizing on the crazyness on the current pricing of those SS pieces

Yes...given what you’ll have left, BUT......keep the sub, add cash. JMO, but the meteorite is pretty spectacular!

To clarify...when you guys say “add cash” are you implying I’d sell the black Daytona, sell the Pepsi, and then I’ll just have to cough up a little cash to fund the difference between my proceeds and the cost of the Meteorite?

I do think I would miss them. That said, I rarely wear my Pepsi (steel) and white Daytona (I actually wear the black Daytona more!), and the meteorite I wear often, so in the end it might be worth it. In fact, I honestly have a hard time wearing a lot of my pieces and have thought about consolidating because sometimes less is more, but I keep hesitating (and I’m sure I’ll continue to add!). Whatever you decide, you will have a great collection. Let me know if you have any questions. I’ll try and post a pic tomorrow or them together in case helpful

Super helpful! Thanks for the feedback / input. You have a hell of a collection! Part of me hates to think about giving up some of the stainless grails (and owning fewer pieces)...but that meteorite dial is quite literally made from a finite resource...they won’t make this model forever. I have to imagine it will hold value well and it’s just so unique.

This is the route I would go. You have the white dial Daytona and like it better so you don’t need the black. Once you have the GMTII Meteorite you won’t need the Pepsi. No the trick is sourcing it...

I think the meteorite is gimmicky. It has poor contrast with the hour and minute hands.
Just on aesthetic, the Daytona, Pepsi and Kermit all look better than the meteorite GMT.

If you are selling those 3 at least get a high horology. Get a Patek Chronograph or something.

Sell the BLNR and one more (black Daytona or Cermit) and add some cash and get the Meteorite.

I will take the view that you should not sell BLRO on jubilee (assuming you like it more than the BLNR) just because you also will have the Meteorite. Despite the same bezel, the SS BRLO and the Meteorite easily can coexist. Over time, my bet is you will wear the SS more than you think, and IMHO, the SS BLRO is the one to own versus the BLNR. But the Meteorite is just one of those special Rolex IMHO. It really is outstanding.

do it if you love the GMT meteorite. it's one of the hardest piece to get from AD. my AD have had sold me every SS sport models in the Rolex catalog within the last 2 years however until today I still don't have the meteorite in my collection. I'm thinking of going grey, soon.

+1 on the poor contrast

Have you seen the WG GMT in person?

As many others have already said, seems better to sell 2 and add little cash instead.

Thanks...no, I haven't seen the WG GMT in person. Lots of photos and videos.

People said poor contrast about the white Daytona but I really don't see it / have a problem with it.
