This "all red" hand anomaly has been discussed many times through the years on various forums and elsewhere. I believe you misinterpreted what I wrote and wasn't insinuating that Rolex never manufactured an "all red" 24-hour hand. My belief based on evidence that I have seen and discussions with other knowledgeable collectors through the years is that the "all red" hand is genuine and were found on mostly Mark I era watches from the later part of the 1960s and some early 1970s models. (I have yet to see one on a Mark III GMT. The Mark III watches are notorious for being cobbled together with blueberry inserts and the all red GMT hand.) I've seen some fairly ratty "all reds" in watchmaker take-off hand boxes and on vintage Mark I GMTs and fully believe that they are genuine. Their appearance on the Mark III dials is a relatively new phenomenon the past 10 to years or so - which often times finds the all red hand and a blueberry insert on a radial GMTs.

Springer,
Your posts are always great. I always learn something from you. I personally found an All red in some MK-2 the were serviced by Rolex with no complains. It never happen to me to see it in a MK-1, but I trust this is possible. I always took it as a service hand. In Middle East I have seen a couple of Radial Blueberry too, both with Allred and Dubai airforce logo. Thank you! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
