It concerns me that anyone believes "everyone gets a check." Some of us are funding all of those checks. It surprises me that anyone who qualifies is shopping for a $10k watch. On the other hand " a stereo with really big speakers" wouldn't make me feel any better.

Enough with the stimulus check comments, geez.
As to your question, I would recommend getting the Explorer. If you like the B58, you’ll love the comfort of the Exp1. If you want the black OP39, there is no micro adjustment, but there is less text on the dial. I have a BLNR and stainless Daytona and the Exp1 get the most wrist time for the last 2 years. It’s so comfortable and legible. It’s also very versatile. After having several great watches and switching watches during the day to enjoy them more, I found myself recently wearing only the Exp1 from morning to bedtime. |

Good luck, it is a fantastic watch. Mine hasn’t left my wrist in about a month.

When I was earning 75k (I think that is the cutoff for stimulus checks?) as a younger bachelor with low COL expenses, I could absolutely afford that. It’s a hell of a lot cheaper than spending 3 months salary on an engagement ring. |

Who the hell says you have to spend 25% of your yearly salary on an engagement ring? Nonsense. Someone making 75000/yr and feeling obligated to buy a (excuse me highly likely financing) 19k ring is bonkers. Either that or I’m just a stingy shmuck?

I have an Explorer. I love it, but it wasn't the watch that did this. Just a way to sell more watches. |

I was offered the explorer by an AD about 18 months ago but preferred my Tudor Black Bay blue ETA. It just look incomplete without a turning bezel.

And on topic. I’ve been this close to getting an explorer for years now. Probably a 114270 or 14270. I just can’t quite make myself do it as I feel my 14060 ticks the classic everyday black dial box. But the pictures in this thread are pushing me closer to the edge. |
