Buy any colour and get the dial swapped at service.

Lovely watch by the way (pic above). I think the 36 OP in Candy Pink is the perfect young woman's watch.

Got the yellow for my Mrs, but may swap to pink dial sometime.

Ordered one for my gf’s birthday the day these were released. Received it a couple of weeks later and she loves it. I think I got a bit lucky as I did this before I think anyone knew how popular these were going to be. A week or so later my AD told me they couldn’t even order them anymore because demand was through the roof. I was in there last week and they said they have only seen one other, so that’s a total of 2 in 6 months if they’ve really only seen one other.

I think Rolex really did great with the new OP lineup! I would enjoy the 41 in black, silver, green, or blue.

Will Rolex dial swap these?

I thought they don’t dial swap on high demand models but I could be wrong.

Personnally I prefer the sunburst pink dial version on the OP34, more interesting and better size as well for women imo.

I think the pink color is cool. If it was in a 41mm, it'd be popular.

Doubtful, then everyone would swap to “Tiffany blue”

Congratulations!!! Love the pink color for a lady!!! I've been searching for a large sized OP for a while and I finally found a silver one this past weekend in 41mm. I'd wanted a 39mm while they were out but no go. I suspect like the DJ41 it's closer to 39mm than 41mm.

Pink is very popular for 36mm, Turquoise, Red Coral, Yellow and Green are the most popular for 41mm.

I love my Turquoise.

RED. Don't buy it thinking it's orange-ey in any way.
Red is the new orange.

Got the wife a yellow 36mm when they first came out (really wanted a pink, but yellow was 2nd choice).

I have just looked on Chrono24 at the price of the yellow

Of course they will not. The scarcity of the stella dials is part of Rolex marketing strategy. It is way more likely that they just get canceled next year in favor of some other colors. The Stella dials are more a talking point for Rolex than a real watch. They are supposed to stay rare and mysterious. Every AD on this planet will tell you that stella OPs are rare. They are more like a bonus for worthy customers (and their wives).

Many of the Stella OPs on chrono24 are franken watches, where scammers installed fake stella dials on less rare variants (black, silver). Buy with extreme caution since even the full set won’t be able to tell you, which dial originally came with your OP 36/41

It is f**ked up…

My wife and I walked into a dealer last weekend when killing time (ha ha get it?). I asked one of the salespeople if they had the dark blue or silver in any size, even that was already allocated, just so I could see the color in person, even a 28mm. She said they did not, and that at the moment, they're harder to get than stainless Daytonas.

Her explanation, FWIW, was the interesting part: She told me that, prior to the watches even entering production, Rolex USA had to make a decision whether to weight U.S. allocation more heavily towards steel or gold, and gold was chosen. Demand for this particular model, according to her, was significantly underestimated.

While I have no idea if that's correct or not, it sounds somewhat plausible that at least some of this was about underestimating demand. People seem to be treating this as a sports model in ways the OP never was before. I reached out to dealers in late April/early May, telling them I was interested in two pieces, new Exp. 36 and OP 36. Told "good luck" on the Explorer, but probably fairly quick turnaround on an OP (I wanted dark blue or silver, granted). Well, fast forward, and I had an Explorer on my wrist in three weeks and have yet to see any OPs (except a guy in Miami walking around in a Tiffany).

I've been told as much. SA in my post above said she'd managed to get a green 41, and thought it wore more like a 39.

If that's the case, I still don't understand why they weren't somehow designated as "limited editions" in some way. Seems like a missed opportunity to a) market them separately and b) create even more hype around them.

In our AD last weekend. The wife has got yellow OP36 (from another AD) and they said that was the first one they had seen.

Very long wait lists now and virtually no new inventory......which wasn't what they were expecting at launch.

Although we didn't buy it for £££ - it's now showing over 100% increase in value on chrono24 in just 9 months. In comparison my BLNR is showing not much more after 7 years.

*Sorry Padi - just a side note on demand

I managed to get one of these with lucky phone call to my AD, she literally said hold on today's delivery is in and I'm sure we have one..20 minutes later I'm paid up and arranging for my friend to collect! (it was for his uncles wife as a surprise anniversary gift) the stars aligned for him that day!

Spoke to my AD and he mentioned he's working on the candy pink for my wife. I'm hopeful I will get it this year.

That is scary. My datejust says blue on the warranty card. I wish Rolex did something similar with the OPs.

The solution here, if buying grey, is to cal Rolex the moment the watch is received and ask what color dial the serial number corresponds with (preferably before funds released).

Didn't realize Rolex would confirm dials. Thanks!

I'm assuming they would, but perhaps not... Ok, now hopefully someone with actual knowledge can weigh in .
