As ever the revolving doors have been in operation again I find myself with a watch I have had previously but now I look upon it in a different light again, for how long is anyones guess.

The watch in question is the relatively short lived 116600 Sea-Dweller. I love the watch it's nearly perfect. It got me asking myself what would make it perfect? This weekend I put my finger on what it was and is what leads me to my next question.

Would the 126600 dial fit inside the 116600, thus giving the 116600 the classic Sea-Dweller proportions and size but with the lovely red line of 'Sea-Dweller' text? Does anyone have the definitive answer?

From studying photos side by side I really can't decide some look the same while other seem to differ, I am almost certain they share the same dial size but does anyone know for sure?

That to me would make THE perfect Rolex sports model.
