Snooze-fest for Rolex. What a disservice when they blew off the Explorer II’s 50th birthday :(

I confess: I allowed myself to be wound up by all the hype about the Cerachrome bezel. Hey! I even played with adjustments on the frames myself to confirm! I should have known better...

At the moment feeling pretty much...

Oh, well! Glad I had fallen in love with the Polar as it was two days ago already... I can continue to love the watch going forward!

Sometimes it works like that, sometimes it doesn’t. The Daytona has been available with steel, aluminum and ceramic bezel and its a Daytona all the same. That being said I despise ceramic bezels so I’m happy they left it unchanged.

Not sure why anyone would want a ceramic on the exp 2. It’s one of the last proper rugged watches left. No polished links, no fragile ceramic and no moving parts. Yes the brushed bezel scratches when you look at it but it’s just scratches. It ain’t going to break. Often people equate toughness with scratch resistance on watches. Case and point an all steel DJ is far more robust than a ceramic sub (other than WR rating).

They are hanging out at Al Capone's vault.
