I don’t have one, but have tried one on. I will say it fit like a glove and IMO is the perfect sized sports watch. Classic case shape, no maxi case (yet). I’m thinking about it being my next. Great first choice! Go get one!

1. Can I walk into an AD and place a deposit for one and be guaranteed that I will get one or is the watch already so popular that it’s like playing the sub or Daytona preferred client game

2. If the answer above is that you can place a deposit and get one relatively easily, what type of waiting time would I be looking at (2 months, 6 months, 1 year?) I live in Arizona btw

Thanks
Welcome to TRF!!! I was going to make a joke about owning a Yachtmaster in AZ however having lived in Tucson for over 10 years I know that AZ had the highest per capita boat ownership of any state. Good luck on the search. I love my 116622! It an absolutely perfect watch!! I much prefer its variants to the Subs from both a pov of aesthetics and fit!!! Let us know how it works out for you. Oh yeah, there's also the t-shirts that say, "Arizona, All Beach, No Ocean!!"

I can't pretend to know and understand how Rolex distributes and allocates watches to various ADs in the network but if it's any indication, an AD in central NJ had this exact model sitting in the case in December (which I bought) and had another one (same model) in the case as recent as a month ago.

If you buy one in Scottsdale, do not let them size the bracelet.
They will damage the hades out of it.
That is all I am going to say.

Excellent choice! Very good advice in this thread already. I got mine last year in PA (right after they were released). I believe I had about a 2-3 month wait & did not have to leave a deposit.

You should be able to get one within a few months at most (or may get lucky). I think any AD will just be happy that you are not on the "any Daytona or a Sub" hype train. (BTW I also have a white dial Milgauss- another under-rated reference!)

The YM is a great choice, far more interesting than your standard black Sub, IMHO.

Excellent choice. As others have said you can try AD route with likely a couple month wait; I waited about that long for my blue dial YM.

On the other hand if you cant wait, go grey and have it here tomorrow with little to no premium over MSRP.

I love the blue dial but I got the Rhodium and would do so again if offered both. I think Rhodium dial with ice blue second hand is probably one of the most unique dials of the sports models. the blue dial has that red second hand but there are so many blue dial rolexes being sold. If I could afford to, I would buy both! But if I could only pick one I would buy the Rhodium all over again. It's a fantastic sports watch!

I passed by my local AD and requested to be added to the list and got the call 2 weeks later (no previous purchase history with them); I'd say reach out and give it a shot.
