For me definitely the CHNR; looks way better in real life than in pictures. I was overwhelmed when i got to see it at my AD, had to look twice because it did absolutely not look as on the pictures. The first few seconds i was afraid the AD had arranged the wrong reference.

The 116500 white Daytona is arguably THE most photogenic modern Rolex. On the wrist, it did very little for me. Way too stark white and reminds me of a TAG. The flip side is the black 116500, while nice in photos, is much better on the wrist.

Never liked the 116610LV in photos, but in person it jumps off the wrist every time.

In photos the ss Daytonas are superstars...quite small in real life.
In the metal the EXPL II white and black are sueprstars..but quite mundane in pics .

Pics give and idea, but never judge it until you have seen it in the metal .
Well, even if it means visiting your favourite white gloved grey to see it ....

I have heard a lot of people say Daytona in pictures is > than real life - not true for me at all, I had no interest in one until I saw one in real life

I owned a TT root beer - this watch, as everyone says, is much much better in real life; it was a bit much for me at the time in terms of presence so I moved it, but it sure is something else

Hulk is one I found disappointing - was going to be my next watch until I tried one on a few months before it was discontinued & passed

I think the BLRO looks better in the metal than pictures. It's hard to capture the colors of the bezel in pictures. I also believe white gold references look better in the metal than pictures.

There, I said it. I still love my GMT though.

I agree. The crown is what gets me. It's not a difference between the ceramic sub vs gmt, but in the 5 digits the crwon on the sub is noticeably bigger, beefier, and more solid feeling than the equivalent GMT.

I have the same issue with Daytona. I do respect the watch tremendously but it's just too small for a bigger guy. The diameter itself isn't the issue but the long pushers and shiny bezel somehow increase the "effect".

16570 Explorer II is rather small too (although in theory it has the same diameter as GMT and Sub). It wears significantly smaller due to smooth bezel.

The bb58 925 looks so dull in photos, in person it looks like an entirely different watch.

Yeah, cameras are still deliberating on the best way they could capture the absolute beauty of Rootbeer.
