Right. I’ll just enjoy my black one. Oh wait that’s my sub. No wait, actually it’s my SD. Shit, now I don’t know which one of my 10 black face rolexes I actually put on.

Get the point?

I always thought the white Daytona was just all hype....until I tried one on at a grey dealer. It’s absolutely stunning in person. That’s not something i often think about modern Rolex as I find many to be underwhelming or a bit too much (like the Pepsi).

Both nice for their own unique reasons. Black by a smidge for me.

White for sure. Better contrast. Black dial hard to read

I love my black that I daily wear. I had the choice between the two and chose Black as I find it more versatile, easy to wear and beautiful. I would chose black again. Would love to add the white but as a second!

I think depends also of the other watches in the collection, if it's one watch collection or small collection, black is more versatile. For larger collection, white is nicer for rotation and not many white dials option in Rolex.

Both are nice but given its size, white dial makes it look bigger on my 7.6” wrist

Love the 16520 and 116520 in black. For the 116500, white is my favorite.

Not one color is better than the other its all about personal choice and personal preference

Just because a person likes the white dial more than black then they're on the hype train? Sure whatever you say.

So just which color SS Daytona do you own then?

I was ALWAYS white - till I got the call for a black and saw it in person and now; I’m converted white. The silver sub dials truly just pop.

Bottom line both are amazing pieces

I never really bonded with the black and sold it. I'd go for white but ultimately for me that train has passed!!! No way I'm paying grey pricing or getting one from an AD. So it goes.

I wanted black. I got black. I prefer black.

If white was so great you'd see more white face rolex sport watches that were hot but in general they aren't as desirable. For some reason the white Daytona has a lot of hype unique to that model but the black is just a better looking watch as it would be in an Explorer, Submariner, GMT or Skydweller. The white face pops well IMO in a DJ 41 but in most of these pieces the black looks better and in the Daytona....the black face and black ceramic bezel have an inky glossy depth that the white can't touch. The black looks bigger on the wrist as well. Try both on and then decide for yourself!

I used to love the look of the white one in picture until I got to see both black and white in person at a grey dealer. In sun light the black looks so much better than the white. So I decided to buy the black one and no regret. It is my daily. I don’t even want to wear my other watches. Time to thin the herd
