Buy what you like, not what others like!
There will always be those who will say get this brand, lose this brand or a piece! You have a very nice collection! |

BUT if you only collected Rolex watches of a certain price point and style, can't that person be considered a true collector too? |

Thoughts? Hmmm.....
I like to wear my watches regularly (1x/wk if possible) so 13 is not my magic number. Anything above 6/7 (for me) feels like its more about the look of the collection than the wearing experience. Now regarding the pieces: Of the 3 Omegas i prefer the regular speedy above the other 2 (i'd probably liquidate the other 2). So -2 there. Keep the pelagos as the beater (even though some may feel the blue on blue is not as versatile as black on black). Plus its nice to have some color in there. Seadweller and bluesy keep. Daytona looks best on bracelet for me. Love the BLRO and Skydweller. DJ looks tiny, YM44.... you have a skydweller, a bluesy, and a SD43 so I'm not sure when/why you would choose it over any of those 3. So that's another -2. 2 at the top on straps... another -2. That would leave you with 2 GMT (BLRO & skydweller), 2 chronographs (daytona and moonwatch), and 3 divers (bluesy, sd43, pelagos). 2 white dials, 2 blue dials, 3 black dials. 3 brushed bracelets and 4 PCL bracelets (1 of which is 2-tone). And 7 pieces feels doable.... like they would actually get good wrist-time. Just my 2 cents. |

Great collection. If mine, I would add PP to the collection. My favorite is the 5170. A nautilus would be great as well.
The guy above me mentioned something if that resonated with me. For my collection, I try to keep it functional. Doesn’t mean that I have to wear the watch every day but, it should serve a purpose. That purpose may be just to complete something or, it may be to wear for certain types of activities or occasions. Sometimes, it’s just a lookout LOL. Good luck in your search!! |

I would edit out two of the Omega and others. Get a YG DD white dial, then you will have what’s missing....then buy a Patek, but doubt you will get so easily a green yg daytona or nautilus. Not easy even for VIP’s.

Thanks all for the mostly thoughtful and encouraging responses. I am planning to add the DD40 in silver motif dial and sticks before year end and will most likely sell my white SkyD as I ideally want that piece in blue on jubilee.
As for those of you who said remove the Omegas and the Tudor/Hamilton, etc. I have a watch collection. Collectors dont need to wear all their watches. They can buy pieces because of the style or history or because a few times a year they'll throw it on. I actually love my Omega Speedmaster with the moonphase and date on it. |

Yet, I think you keeping the Moonphase is enough Omega. and as maybe an XL Cartier Tank. best,

Congratulations, nice collection, I come her to see what you got, post them all. I am on many sites, classic car, whiskey, watches and Porsche people post what they are proud of, be proud brother you have done well. I did not see the sea dweller 43, you holden back? lol...

PP and Rolex Gold would be nice. Maybe AP as well, but only RO. If you can get the Mayer and a Nautilus, you should do whatever it takes to do that.

Nice! If it was me I would cut down how many and add a PM and venture outside to PP, AP, VC, ALS or even FPJ to really get into some fun pieces!
