Starbuck was a character in a 1978 science fiction television series. Kermit was a muppet.

Biggest difference is the material of the bezel insert. Aluminum vs Ceramic.

For the aluminum, you can buy authentic or "third-party" bezel inserts of various colors and change it up just for laughs.

I dunno if there are third-party ceramic inserts of other colors. You're pretty much stuck with green.

Well I believe Kermit was a Muppet character frog, and Starbucks is a brand of coffee shops.

I like both, although the Starbucks feels better in person
Nickname joking aside, this is a pretty thoughtful post

Because these people are being told what to buy instead of purchasing what they want.

Are Batman, Smurf and Hulk not just fictional characters?

Are a Coke, Pepsi and root beer not just drinks?

Was Paul Newman not an actor that wore a Rolex watch? Yes, I know he wore a 6239 Daytona but many actors and famous people wear a certain watch.

The point I’m trying to make is why do some people apparently get so annoyed at some nicknames, yet actually use other nicknames? I’ve heard the argument that some nicknames have occurred ‘organically’ but I’m not sure that fully explains this.

Is this a case of heard mentality at its best / worse or are some people trying to limit the use of nicknames as they feel it makes most of the nicknames used to date sound a tad silly?

For what is is worth, I tend not to use nicknames but I’m equally relaxed if others chose to do so.

While in the Rolex boutique, I referenced a Kermit , and the SA made it clear ( in a nice way) that they don’t use the nicknames. I just found that interesting.

Meh, some would say the 12LV bezel is the best colored bezel they make. Put me in that bracket.
