Go for WG, that matches your choice of watches.

It's a wedding band to me it doesn't have to match with your wrist, you can get a yellow gold band and wear any color of watch.

I’m in this camp also. Your collection may evolve over time anyways.

This

I don't get the multiple wedding band to match your watch thing. Call me sentimental, but the only wedding band I'll wear is the one my wife placed on my finger.

Mine is predominantly white gold to match my wife's

I’ve got my original one from 26 years ago that is yellow gold. My wife got me a platinum and yellow gold combo band for our 15th anniversary and then a simple platinum Tiffany band for our 20th.

Allows me to match my band to whatever watch I’m wearing.

This!!! Or do what I did. My wife picked out a YG band for me. I only wear it for formal occasons with a gold watch. We also bought matching stainless steel bands for everyday. I wear SS watches 99% of the time, so this works perfectly.

I originally had a YG band until I got into this hobby. For what it's worth I think matching the metals works best

Go with yours and your wife to be original thought for your wedding band. Matching isn’t really necessary, but down the road who knows. When we picked ours 24 yrs ago, mine was a TT. When I started accumulating watches, my wife gifted me a couple others to wear (YG , WG). Now I can match watches when I want to.

The most important is matching with your spouse, no need to match with all your watches.

You need only one wedding ring but you might have many watches, some YG, WG, RG or PT.

1. Watches come and watches go. Hopefully this is the only wedding band you'll ever have.

2. Absolutely no need to match them; I went 14k YG for my wedding ring but wear a gold watch maybe four or five times a year (gold cufflinks even less often).

3. Whatever color metal, I've become convinced that 14k gold is the way to go. Cheaper than platinum, cheaper/harder than 18k w/o noticeable difference in color, much more durable than silver.

I went with white gold which matches all of my watches..... can always add a gold band down the line to match a PM piece.

If you hold a lot of sentimentality to your wedding band fine and want to do one and only one fine.

But I've spent more time with a silicone band than metal due to certain activities. I do have my original wedding band, but its one of many.

It looks MUCH better when you match the metals. Or if you go silicone, go black.

Proud to be wearing the same wedding band for 39 years. I was a poor college student when I got married and wore an old bright orange dial Gruen diver. My future wife said she first noticed me because of that watch.
Matching a Rolex to my wedding ring has never occurred to me. No watch will ever mean more to me than my wedding band.

Pick your preference and don’t worry about matching. Metals go together just like woods go together. Plus, no one will notice and even if they did, with the ring and Rolex being on YOUR hand, YOU are the one who gets to call the shots.

trying to match stuff is highly overrated. Especially jewelry and socks.

I think the days of matching jewelry (colours) are gone, or at least it's not the faux pas it used to be. People wear multiple chains, rings, watches, bracelets in different metals all the time. To easily hedge your bet, wear a TT.

Of course you should get what you want. That being said, I originally wanted a yellow gold or two tone band, but in the end went for platinum because it works with everything.

Go to any custom jeweler and tell them you want PT or whatever, and they will pull out a book with more standard options than you can imagine - width, radius, comfort fit, etc. That what we did with Pave Jewelers in Arlington VA and it was wonderful. In our case, PT to go with SS/PT Rolex. Also had them make up a custom anniversary ring for my wife

TBH I have never liked YG rings... so I got a platinum one. And all my watches are SS so everything matches. Lately i've been wanting a rose gold watch. I'm a little embarrassed to say it but it does/would bother me that my ring is a different color metal. I like to match my metals and my leathers. So all my metals are "white metals" - SS, WG, PLT... and if i'm wearing brown leather shoes you better believe i'm not wearing a black leather belt lol. So will i get the rose gold watch? I dont know... maybe i'l get a rose gold wedding band and some rose gold belt buckles to be all matchy matchy... or not. Kinda like the white metal/under the radar look. Still lusting after that rose gold 116515ln though.

if you have two tone watches, your fine with anything. But I am a stickler to match stuff so if I had a SS sport / WG id go with SS sport / WG band. vice versa

This topic's come up in the past. I'll give the same answer. My dad died before I was married (by a couple of years). After I got engaged my mother gave my wife my father's gold band to give to me for the wedding. It has two sets of dates engraved in it (one from 1947 and one from 1985). The band originally from Tiffany's is a symbol for me of commitment and the vows I took. I believe this is far more important then the fashionability of "a ring." It goes with anything I wear on my wrist. I wouldn't worry about it matching any watch. I'd worry about it matching my character.
