One of the most common questions that come up and I've asked it too. Real answer is both or whichever is available at MSRP first but if needing to pick one then stick with Rolex as the safer brand and potential for more down the road.

AP. Not a fan of gold dials or the OF.

Both! Don’t own an AP, but wish I did. The 116519 is sweet for sure! That dial is .... drool!

Both are gorgeous, Daytona with OF or AP 26331ST blue dial.
Daytona is PM but AP bracelet is the best looking. Close call! Either one at msrp (at your AD).

AP is slick.
Daytona is more wearable.

I've had both in RG on straps, I probably warmed slightly more to the Daytona, it had the most Haute feel of any Rolex I've had, the AP was colder.

Hard to argue with that. I own one but wanted to hear opinions at this price point for these 2.

Good point there. I definitely have much more wrist awareness with the AP. Although will say that after almost a year or ownership and fairly regular wear in rotation, it still looks pretty much brand new.

I don't like 4:30 dates, but AP for sure here.

Have you tried throwing the AP on strap (either black or white rubber) for a change of pace in the summer? the AP does have that going for it, bracelet and strap option, vs just the stray on the Daytona.

I didn’t realize they have rubber option for the 38mm. Will look into it!

Though call. 519 is probably my favourite Daytona. Was offered that AP a few years ago. If I could have either tomorrow I'd go AP

Rolex. The AP drives me nuts with different size subdials, offset and misaligned date, no sapphire caseback with non in house movement.

I thought the picture shown was 41mm 26331st not 26315st.
38mm 26315st has white dial with blue sub-dials but 41mm has white dial with black sub-dials.

I would take the AP, it’s actually more legible. AP is growing on me over time I think.

The AP. This model is the only watch I can forgive with the 4:30 date due to that beautiful dial.
