In the UK, having purchased from a number of ADs, none have provided the bezel protectors. They also will not give the plastic shipping boxes they receive the watch in from Rolex. They state that all plastic stickers must be removed and none of the shipping items can be given. They give both hangtags (green Rolex seal and white pricing/serial number label).

As others have mentioned, bezel protectors and shipping boxes can be bought quite easily online, if someone wishes to do that.

Don't care about plastic bits with my purchases. I do like how they have choices of nice single malt scotch for me to sip on while I wait on paperwork and sizing.

Be happy for a new watch, not ‘incredulous’ because of missing plastic.

Also, tell us how much red meat you eat. Maybe we will be incredulous about it.

They just don´t want to cut any corners. It does make sense. I even watched a youtube video where an AD was punished for sending watches directly to grey dealers. When yhou think of it it is silly, as the watches still make their way to greys and fetch huge premiums over dealer pricing without stickers or plastic covers or what have you. But some ADs feel "safer" I guess by keeping certain things and as you say here not a deal breaker. I certainly did not say no to the purchase. Things aside, I am enourmously happy with my Panda!!
Like that is going to work. It’s just childish of the AD and no Rolex policy.
Nice watch, enjoy it

Sometimes I get it thrown in, sometimes not.

This is Rolex policy - give some out and retain others. My AD gets instructions from Rolex with each batch, telling which watches can be sold with bezel protectors and which must not. If they deviate more than three time a year they lose their Rolex franchise.

This is why so many ADs have disappeared over the past 1-2 years.

I thought the don't like you comment was funny. We could all use a lot more humor in our lives. And we could all stand to relax quite a bit and learn to laugh at ourselves more. Certain questions deserve some humorous responses. Sorry if it hurts your feelings but this is one such question. Others include oldies and goodies such as, is it safe to wear my watch to Italy? How do you put your watch on the nightstand when you go to sleep? Which Rolex should I buy? And on and on. . .

PS, I didn't get the stickers or plastic bits on either my 116710 or 114060 when I left the AD. It never even occurred to me that keeping them was a thing. And even if I did know I would have laughed and asked my AD, why on Earth would I want that junk?

Now that I know it's a thing though I'll be demanding that I keep all the junk. I'll sell it here for hundreds of dollars, perhaps even thousands as the crazies get crazier, and laugh while enjoying my steak dinner with lots of red wine that someone decided to buy for me after buying some junk from me.

I really have zero idea why SAs basically lie and everyone has a different policy. Rolex doesn’t seem the type to give conflicting information.

No, I do not need a hug. If I did, it certainly wouldn't be from you. Theres dozens of for sale posts here with people selling watches with the bezel protector. OP previously bought a watch with the bezel protector. He now wants to know why he didn't get one. His AD explained the reasoning, and like any reasonable person, he sought a second opinion on if they were telling the truth.

That's almost a standard response in some workplaces/industries.

Anyhoo, I got a full set, stickers, bezel protector, the lot with my sub in 2017, but no stickers or bezel protector with my SDDS in 2020.

Two months ago I was picking up the green Sub and the plastic cap also stayed in AD. They claim that it is a shipping lock and not part of the watch set.

I didn't have this problem with my previous purchase.

My AD(Australia) has not given me any bezel protectors since 2017. They also claim that it is Rolex policy. I have one and I do think they are handy to have.

They are easily found on eBay etc.

The AD is also very thorough in removing all stickers and adhering to any Rolex policies. I guess they are not taking any chances. I have no issue with any of this really.

I get everything. They just throw them out if you don't ask. My AD always laughs when I ask him about any Rolex policy. It's up to the AD how they want to run things. If this is a new policy for all ADs it's news to me though I doubt it.

Dont forget my personal favorite. I got the call, but won’t collect it for a few days, can you guess. Then I may not even follow up. Those are the best. The pre incoming if you will. Ban those please.

Here’s what you need to gain your sense of humor back. 18oz rib eye. Make sure to get it organic and cook it medium rare.

Do you keep the box and tissue paper from a new pair of shoes? I can understand why you want it, but it’s no more important than the above.

Exactly! This obsession with stickers and every tiny bit is what’s wrong with the industry at this point. The entitlement mentality has taken over the world.

If I’m selling down the road and the buyer is questioning these items and trying to negotiate because of them, then they are not a buyer I’d sell to. They are the same types who will use a 10x loupe to see something that can’t be seen with the naked eye and complain.

It would be way better to talk to the AD as they are the source of the problem (which isn’t really a problem).

So my answer stands. They just don’t like him… if they did he’d have his little trashcan watch lid and wouldn’t need you to play hero.

Pathetic

To those who don’t think a plastic bezel cover is important.

Why is it so important to the AD and why would an AD spoil what should be an enjoyable fairly major purchase?

Makes no sense.
