The live pictures of this model look great! I can't wait to see it when my AD gets one. It's the perfect codger's watch

Such a beautiful watch. The only thing holding me back from the new Chronomat is the red seconds hand. This solves it. Imagine if the case was platinum as well. Oh my goodness.

I agree, Breitling really needs to tone it down. If they are ever to work on their brand and future perception of the brand, they need to start producing models for gentlemen who are not the size of Dwayne Johnson.

From 16cm and up anyone can wear a 42mm watch. Just because someone has this idée fixe that a watch is too big doesn't mean it is for non WIS people (middle letter stands for 'idiot')
Breitling, under G. Kern, has reinvented themselves and are fast becoming a true top brand again. I don't own one yet but I am tempted.

Saw the watch last weekend and was really tempted but imagining 50% depreciation off the bat turned me off. I don't buy watches to make money on them but it's bit tough to swallow for a watch that already seems to be priced high.

Great looking watch. Saw a few of the newer Breitlings yesterday and that bracelet looks outstanding. Breitling has really stepped up its game - I hope the brand bounces back. I agree they tend to lose value - I think that’s because they flood the market with too many models. Breitling needs to pull a play from the Rolex book and make a few models unobtainium.

Breitling makes some of the best large diameter watches. I would have to see it on my wrist to make a call. Interesting bracelet tho.

Love the watch. Tried on a silver dial and its a big 42 but I was getting away with it so I am tempted by them. Not sure I am digging the rubber though so would have to buy the steel bracelet separate.

Beautiful watch and color. B01 leaves nothing on the table. Best chronograph movement made in my opinion. Fantastic watch!

I am convinced that Breitling has become the goto watch for the horologist/collector. So many watchmakers I know swear by the B01 movement as now arguably one of the (if not the) best Chrono movements to come out of Switzerland in the last ten years, so good that even Tudor is using them. The modular movement concept is a watchmaker's dream. Taking watches back from "investors" and flippers isn't all bad in my books. |

Nah, why should you get grilled, unless you are trying to be deliberately provocative - you're not trying to do that are you?
There are many reasons why I bought the B01 Chronomat, here are four reasons over the Daytona in my opinion: 1. it has a date complication while the Daytona does not 2. This watch has the correct graduations on the tachymeter for the Hz generated, unlike the Daytona and Speedmaster 4Hz 28,800 (though to be fair, Omega have finally corrected this in 2020). So the Breitling Chronomat displays exactly what the movement is producing. 3. B01 a great leap forward in modular movement design and arguably the best chrono movement to come out of Switzerland in the last 10 years. 4. I am a "poor dude" so price between this and the Daytona made the choice so much easier. |
